from this afternoon. They have put scaffolding around a couple of the houses to be fixed up. The covered hoarding is now up along the southern edge of the site I think the back of these buildings will be removed The facade of this building at Markham and Bloor will be retained. The...

Wellesley Community Centre Aquatic Centre (City of Toronto, 2s, MJMA)

great addition to the area. We love the Regent park aquatic centre. I hope the leisure pool here will have all the fun bubbles and jets found at that pool. Also, I've noticed that they keep that pool a bit warmer than other facilities, and that makes for a pleasant experience.

Thanks for sharing. He says "you guys" way too much. That video doesn't sell the units very well in my opinion with all people rummaging around, but the building looks nice in terms of amenities. I wonder if the residents get a discount on the gym membership, or at least lower maintenance...

    Toronto Sixty Colborne Condos | 82.29m | 25s | Freed | a—A

overall, this is way better than average, but I wish they hadn't nixed the beautiful arch form the earlier version, and too bad no one opted for the big sliding windows that open the unit.

yeah, what's with the black at the bottom. That is a big departure from the renderings, which seem to show a mix of black and windows.

    Thread For Fantasy Toronto Projects

I've seen various mentions of better using our lane ways, both for lane way houses, as well as for a more intimate fine-grained commercial realm. I've also been inspired by places like Melbourne, Australia, with their mews/lanes, which provide a walkable and rich texture of small scale...

    Toronto Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

It would be so cool if the city and property owners in this area could organize a laneway/mews system like in Melbourne. It would draw people in and generate a lot of revenue. However, they would need to encourage small and fine grained commercial, which seems to be contrary to how most...

    Toronto Exhibit Residences | 99.97m | 32s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

I'm glad to see McD's coming back to this location, although most of their new stores are much smaller footprint, which means less comfort when grabbing a bite. The old location here was massive, and was a cool place to see the steel going up on the ROM Crystal across the street. Amazing how...

Toronto Rees Park Playground and Pavillion | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

yes, in the future, people will wonder why they put a park here given the waterfront park across the street and outdoor pavilions down the road. It is a head scratcher given what this parcel could be traded/sold to invest in public space elsewhere. If they wanted they could find a developer to...
