    Toronto U of T: University of Toronto Schools | 20.42m | 3s | Diamond Schmitt

I just completed a housing survey from U of T that suggests they are thinking of adding significant faculty housing (for rent and purchase) centered in the NW section of campus. The Univ owns most of the homes in the Sussex neighbourhood to the east of Spadina, and the remainder of the UTS...

today. Interesting photos on the hoarding showing the market from 100 years ago. It matched the roofline of the other market and had a covered bridge the spanned Front street. It makes me wonder why they would tear that down and build the bunker that was there for the past 50 years.

Surprised no one posted photos from the festivities this past weekend. Below are a few of mine. There was a fun dance contest, live music, food trucks, sponsor tents, games for kids, and a local radio station broadcasting. The Giraffe pinata drop was a nice touch, although some of the kids...

The art displayed on the hoarding looks good. Here are a few photos from today. If google photos patches together my photos into a pano, I'll add that later.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Today -- We should make all of the passages under the rail like this, almost like an extension of the PATH with useful services and shops tucked in. It would really help reduce the psychological barrier of the rail corridor.

Here is pano I took today. This space would make such a nice piazza in my view. http://www.tropicalisland.de/italy/rome/piazza_navona/pages/FCO%20Rome%20-%20Piazza%20Navona%20panorama%203008x2000.html

TrickyRicky -- I think that would be smart -- retain the view of the heritage buildings to the north and south by making this a plaza that can be animated in a variety of ways -- temporary markets on the weekends, performances, etc. They should put the new courts in another building elsewhere...
