as usual, another Toronto project gets watered down and sterilized of any interesting details. on the bright side it's not made of glass. this building will look fine where it's proposed but we need a few like this in the heart of the Entertainment District to contrast against the sea of glass...

they need to keep the red highlights on the balconies when they are finished! the red seems to tie the whole project together with the heritage brick buildings!

the entirety of CityPlace is a trainwreck of ugliness and overbearing podiums... west of Spadina anyway. I actually liked the four oldest buildings south of SkyDome that dont really have podiums. but now the clunkiness of the stuff west of Spadina reaches it's climax here with this monstrosity...

could not have said it better myself. this grouping of soulless glass boxes are individually bad but when crammed together this way with no contextual relationship to each other it reaches crimes against humanity level. how anyone could be excited by this development is beyond belief.

I weep for the schlock foisted on Toronto. pure greed and ugliness.

nice? this is a hideous train wreck of 3rd rate architecture crammed in randomly with no thought for context or public realm. it is criminal what is being done in the Entertainment District in the name of profit.

the golden brick is nice enough on its own but... transitioning from red brick at ground level and then transitioning to silver spandrel on the tower portion and with blue glass? no. those are hideous colour combinations. golden brick works well with a darker contrasting colour like black...

this is a horrible proposal... destroying established vintage buildings to cram yet another plain glass box in a space that it doesnt fit, either physically or contextually. so much of Toronto's once great financial core skyline has been damaged by moves like this in recent years. this will be...

yes, well said! the design is jarring and looks like half of it is still under construction, but the quality of the work and materials looks excellent.

dear lord...another blue glass box! just look at the context photos directly above... 50 buildings crammed in together that all look almost exactly the same. crimes against humanity. and people continue to line up to buy these things.

this is a decent building... almost wasted though in the forest of banality that is the Entertainment District. the vertical lines are a nice change from dominant horizontal lines of many neighbouring buildings.

havent been following this thread so I dont know if this was posted before... popped up on my youtube recommendations a few days ago.

sad that this random stacked box design has become so popular now... none of the newer ones seem to have any thought or flow to them. total eyesore.

such a mish mash of different patterns and textures on what are underneath just plain glass boxes once again. no soul here.

this building is really starting to take shape and make sense now... if the roofline is built as advertised I think we have a winner here. it will add a much needed variation to the skyline.

the first tower has ended up being an example of false advertising compared to the renders. so much of the "angled planes" are really just an optical illusion created by the balcony glass. almost everything built in Toronto is a 2nd or 3rd rate bait and switch.

this is an absolutely hideous style of development. towers in an industrial park. cant believe people accept this as good, let alone get hyped over it. how many miles do you have to walk before you see a tree?
