Didn't get that. He used some large words and has a foreign accent (because he is foreign). Big deal.

Downtown streets in need of TLC

It would be pretty desolate at night if there were no traffic. There's very little retail or anything to keep people on the street. I think it would feel less safe.

Really? I used to live in the UK and never found the electric trains that bad. But now that I live near Danforth GO I really notice the ominous rumbling of the turbine engines. The UPE DMUs would be a different story, I'm sure, but those GO trains are really loud. The noise barriers are also...

This wouldn't even be fatal if it had hooked into the PATH, but they didn't even get that right.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I believe they intend to build a pedestrian bridge from the Train Bus/LRT station across to the area by baseball stadium. This would tie in with the plans to provide tunneled pedestrian access underneath the tracks to new office development on the south side, near the Post Office. Currently...

    TTC: Transit City Bus Plan

Eglinton, Lawrence, York Mills, Sheppard are 2ish. St Clair West to Eglinton West is quite far.

I've been on it, and I don't think it's all as empty as you suggest, at least in summer. The twinned highway from Winnipeg to Whiteshell Provincial Park is comfortable but it can get quite busy on the two-lane through the park, and on into Ontario to Kenora.

The wet side is the hill facing the river. They have to do some plantings.

3108 Yonge was a little different because it was next to some already quite tall apartments and across from a major park. But it's not like Yonge and Strathgowan isn't surrounded on all sides by mid-rise apartments and institutional buildings like the power substation. This project makes a lot...

You will be able to date it from the fact that both new and old Union Station are still standing.

Law is as precise as people draft it, and as precise as judges interpret it. If I were drafting a contract I would make sure to be as clear as possible but statutes are commonly written in general language so as to adapt to changing circumstances.

Roads: Keep the Gardiner, fix it, or get rid of it? (2005-2014)

This is 13000 people we're talking about. 2 bike racks per bus (if those are even available) is not ideal.
