I spoke to vendor on the main level of the market a few weeks ago. He said Sundays were busy but weekdays from 5 to 7 were quiet and not worth his while business-wise. I don't think the city or the market have done much in the way of advertising the new hours.

I understand. It seems like a cumbersome, ideological constraint to place on societies though. Just my opinion, of course.

I still don't get the concept of "carbon embodied in the existing structure" and what that means practically in terms of pulling down buildings, which seems like a basic thing a society needs to do from time to time.

I walk through here about 4 times a week. It's really not that tiny. My point is the community consultation process was rather hyped, with all kinds "woke" posturing. My expectations were heightened and I was expecting a lot more; a re-think, not a surface-level refreshing.

Slap it down to 50 floors and I'm fully onboard. I love what's going on at street-level. That's what's selling it for me. (I live close by so I'm a "stakeholder.")
