    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I'm a little rusty at doing renders, but seeing this image from the Four Seasons thread and I thought I'd hash something together. (oringinal image courtesy Razz found here...

Thank you for acknowledging my attempt for accuracy. With almost all of my renders many members doubted my estimates of height for finished projects. For example, many detractors vociferously doubted how tall Four Seasons would look from various angles. If you check my old renders to the...

Lots of boys, busy this morning on the top floor. Photo by me... Just now

Here's a huge feature on Aura which they are adding on the Yonge Street side today, that never showed up in any of the renders.... A giant overhang! I dangles and juts out way over Yonge Street. And by the looks of it, it will go all the way along the Yonge side. [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG]...

Ostensibly a corner suite should offer up to a 270 degree view-cone, so for me... ...Definitely Northeast. I am a city view lover and for Shangri-La's location the best of that would be the Northeast. You get the best of all worlds. You get the whole downtown and the spine of Yonge Street up to...

Thinking about the spire.... Since the light feature running up the building will continue up the Northwest of the Spire, and the underlying structure of the spire is symmetrical on all four sides... I wonder if the whole Spire above the dome will be surrounded by these light strips? Perhaps...

I think it's pretty, the way it scintillates in your photograph... But don't worry. Once the building is complete, most tenants never open those tiny vent windows anyway. So the smooth exterior will be the norm.

To be fair... I cropped the screen capture from StreetView to look like a candid snap.

Grandmother????!!!!!! Yikes I'm getting old... I was in the crowd standing on Front Street that day watching Olga the Sikorsy skycrane lift that final piece into position. We were kept at a safe distance, which the train tracks provided. However, I don't think I want to be at Bay and Adelaide on...

I never really liked the Arts and Craft style of architecture. The massive porches and dark colours always look so gloomy to me. I guess the owners felt the same way and that's why they lightened it up and added the glass railing. Though the covering of the brickwork in that marble has a very...

Hmmmmm .... 150 tons of steel, 900 feet overhead, being jacked up and then slid outwards towards the edge of the building....All while, the East Coast is getting earthquakes... Yeah... I wouldn't be walking down Bay that day. :p

Ending your statement with ellipses leaves all of us waiting on tenterhooks for more buffoonery. I am not the one who merged the two branches of litigation. On the contrary I clarified the disparate nature of Civil and Crown complainants. Your overuse of your thesaurus has only been employed to...

Your point by point rebuttal of my post is very professional and a debating quality I respect... ... However your Douchebaggy, Smart Alec opening salutation designed to belittle me is childish and just wiped out any respect you may have gained. Furthermore... regarding the courts... ...You...

Obviously the members on here have not seen investigative journalism-type shows like 16:9 The Bigger Picture or CBC's Marketplace... Both of these shows have recently done hidden-camera exposés of construction sites in Canada focusing on Toronto for many of the items. These shows filmed many...

Once again, I'd like to point out that the boot actually made this the "J" tower and the South facade has and always will be the section that makes it an "L". :D

Ugh! I'm all for respecting history and this building is alright, but what I don't look forward to is the next seven pages of this thread when our resident, self-proclaimed, bastion of protectionism, berates all of us for not appreciating the treasure we have in our midst. His post after post...

A little premature for "I told you so" when one of the quotations you cited contain the words "Nothing has been finalized". I believe my post stated that this was a "work in progress"... I will stand by my original statement that we have not yet seen the L-Tower curtainwall until it goes up on...

I will just go on the record as saying that what we have seen so far, is not the cladding for L-Tower. It's either for Backstage or we are seeing a work-in-progress. No render or model ever showed spandrel and mullions like that. So I am of the opinion that we are seeing a test of some other...

As well, 15 million bucks and you're looking at all the window-washing gear and crap on top of BA West. I think Aura's, Ritz, Shangri-La, 4 Seasons and One Bloor's views all beat out Trump's... But that's just my opinion. I'd rather look AT the skyline rather than be IN it and looking out to...

People... calm down. This is only a partial mock-up of one layer of the curtainwall. At best, you are looking at the backside of those panels. That is the part that goes inside the building and covered with interior finishing. That cannot be the outward facing side, the glass is not flush with...
