    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

Yes, in terms of hate crimes (ex. assaults on the streets). I can't find Toronto Police's statistics page, but here's a CBC story... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/51-spike-in-hate-crimes-spurred-partly-by-pandemic-toronto-police-report-finds-1.5998703

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Building Taj Mahals would definitely be very expensive... but just having nice stations with quality interiors and a great urban interface would not be cost-prohibitive. Design finishes are usually a comparatively small expense.

I'm so happy we're getting exactly what we saw in the renderings! The arches look amazing, and I love how they used two slightly different stones!

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

I understand that this is not the most important issue, but it would be nice to have good-looking trains... and (sigh) stations with colour, material, and quality. It's great that we have an iconic look for our GO Trains, as it helps people remember them and imo the new colour scheme (dark green...

    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

That's great. But still, there is no actual movement (there is, but it's not very big) to protest against anti-Semitism. I agree, it's different. Black people experience racism from the authorities, and from people. Jews are mostly subjected to random attacks, and most of the affected Jews are...

Yeah, I'd love to see that! It's definitely poetic.

It's okay, we all want Toronto to get better 😂

    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

I agree that anti-Black and anti-Asian racism is a sadly growing problem, as seen in the sharp increase in hate crimes against their people. I do wonder, however, why the mainstream isn't talking about all of the anti-semitism. People usually dismiss the existence of such large amounts of...

    Toronto 65 King Street East | 82.9m | 18s | Carttera | WZMH

That's why Council passed the new King-Parliament Secondary Plan, which will help with actually preserving the three-dimensionality of heritage buildings and direct development to reinforce the identity of the district, although it might be appealed to the LPAT.

Why be so vengeful? I don't think it would teach anyone a lesson, it would just ruin the neighbourhood forever. It's very clear that this site is appropriate for mid-rise densities, while Scrivener Square is appropriate for tall buildings due to its large area and reasonable distance from tiny...

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

I don't see any ideological issue with funding schools from all religions, but it would certainly cost a lot more money. Let's not forget that we still have the highest sub-sovereign debt in the world.

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

Hats off to you for explaining in such a detailed and fair way. The only quarrel I have with this government's approach to RER is the cancellation of new/rebuilt stations, as they've chosen a private-sector approach where developers build the station in exchange for free land for development...

    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

Idk. We'll just have to see what the judiciary will have to say on this. I want facts, not politically-motivated allegations. To be clear, what happened is obviously a tragedy regardless of why it happened.

    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

We don't know their reasoning, but it what if they just saw his paintball armour + the acceleration of the car and thought it was a good enough reason to press charges?

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

Yeah, he was a centrist and even wanted to abolish public funding for Catholic schools... which seems like a common-sense idea, but was a major reason he didn't win. I mean, why should we fund one specific religion's school? Last I checked, Canada didn't have a designated religion.

    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

Apparently he had just been paintballing. That's why he was wearing armour and a helmet. I swear to god, if the allegations of racism were fabricated, I'm gonna lose my faith in society

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

It has more to do with funding, which comes from the provincial government. I'm not a fan of Doug Ford, but at least they funded the project.

    London (Ontario) vehicular terrorist attack

This is a terrible tragedy. I worry how the kid will live for the rest of his life without a family. I wish our country was more peaceful and harmonious. One thing that does annoy me is the constant use of 'white supremacy', without any context or proof that that is the case. The term applies to...

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

Now that actually might be a good explanation. Either DMW or Holyday could try to become Rob Ford 2.0, and that would be bad for Tory and even worse for our city. Putting them in these relatively ceremonial positions could help stop divisive populism from making a comeback to City Hall...

St. James Park Revitalization (PMA Landscape Architects)

Community service for vandals would be a great idea! Much better than just fines, because it teaches them a lesson! (hopefully)
