    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

I'm no fan of Holyday (live in his ward and didn't vote for him), but on the TTC, I don't think you are all making the point you think you are making. He takes TTC every day (I've seen him on the subway), probably more than some of these other councillors who are supposed to be part of Chow's...

    Vaughan 8083 Jane | 200m | 60s | MPAR Developments | SvN

Streetview shows that this part of Jane doesn't even have sidewalks (on either side) and they want to lump 50 + 60 stories here???

    Toronto 293 The Kingsway | 33.9m | 9s | The Benvenuto Group | BDP Quadrangle

I like how this turned out. Looks like residents are starting to move in, I've seen listing for rentals here (on Realtor sites), which usually indicates a condo owner (not apartments as I thought these were)?. Also, the TTC needs to stagger the leave times of the 73/48 busses along Royal York...

    Proposed renaming of Dundas Street

Is it the word Dundas you don't like or the person behind the word, though? If it's the actual word Dundas, that isn't going anywhere. If it's the person, then yes get rid of any mention of that person or statue, or plaque, or whatever it is. You seem to not want to comment on this.

    Proposed renaming of Dundas Street

It is the most logical thing, wish someone would do some polling on this because I believe most Torontonians would agree with this. Why can't we just do this? Dundas (the word) is not going to just cease to exist, Mississauga is keeping it, thousands of Torontonians have the surname, some...

    Proposed renaming of Dundas Street

I mean, budgeting by definition is the act of setting priorities and allocating/providing funds to particular initiatives, purposes, projects, line items. It is totally accurate to make the argument that the 8.6 million (I've seen anywhere from 5-20) should be allocated to other things when we...

    Proposed renaming of Dundas Street

I think we all agree that going forward we should never name things after people, but the go back and change a street name (not a statue, a name that doesn't need to refer to any particular person) is very expensive. Why waste tens of millions on this when there are so many urgent issues, people...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

This area needs local rapid transit, otherwise people will just take that Go to work, and drive for everything else which is what they are doing now. I can't think of another area in the western world with densities as high as Park Lawn and Lakeshore (already, but especially after Christie)...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Stop planning and building these massive lines, and instead start at one end and open one station at a time as it is completed. Yes it would cost more, but the economic benefit for the areas that open years (maybe even decades) earlier would far outweigh that cost. Sick of this.

It's what people in North America are used to and want. And it's also better for pedestrians to have more opportunities to safely cross the road.

Is there any retail yet? Many of these units have been occupied for 3 years+ now.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

In York-South Weston, Nunziata endorsed Bailao so that might have helped her there. In Davenport, Bailao getting over 30% I think is surprising, given how far left this part of the city is - her history there is probably why but I don't think anyone expected that her number would be that high...

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

So we all thought Mainstreet was off.. but they were actually spot on? Why were we so certain they were overestimating Ana?

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

I never understood the notion of only voting for the person who is going to win. Especially when there isn't any fear of a close contender to necessitate strategic voting.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I think the strategy we need is mixed housing. There is a fear this area is developed to become.exclusively student housing (read poor housing conditions) being right between Humber and York.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

Along Royal York and in the area between Bloor and Dundas, there are more signs for Bailao than anyone else. Maybe 1 or 2 Saunders that I've seen (walk this area daily), there are also a few Chow signs on private property which is surprising in this area.

    Toronto 3100 Bloor Street West | 57.5m | 16s | Tridel | Kirkor

They've put up new wooden fences here (and painted them black), and they've also done some work to the old GMC/Chev dealership building. Anyone know whats going on there? Will it be a sales centre?

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

Interesting, as a lot of people credit him with helping Morley get elected as he was campaigning there with her throughout the last municipal election.

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

My guess is this never happened. Otherwise it would be all over the media I would think?

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

What's with the sigh? I'm genuinely curious. The first thing that comes up on a quick Google Search of Aging in Place is "Staying in your own home as you get older is called "aging in place." So for the seniors who live in the multimillion dollar suburban homes, there's clearly no need for...
