Those corner floors look so dainty and frail compared to the other enormous hulking slabs of concrete in this building. Obviously they’re not, but it’s so weird how they were just added on later but somehow it still works. Engineers, you all amaze me!

I can’t believe they turned this into something which they are charging $500-$1000 per night.

Wow! I was so surprised that an extremely busy and seemingly successful restaurant was randomly closing. Had no idea this was the reason.

They started the ties on Monday?

I’m glad they changed the colour of the LED’s in there. I previously walked by at night and they were a blinding, unpleasant, daylight white colour.

The scaffolding made a great viewpoint! Gives an interesting perspective on how much sidewalk space this building will add.

When light shines on it it’s lighter, and as you mentioned it will presumably be lit inside. Although in general the cladding materials are going to be darker / more greyish bronze than the golden colours shown in the renderings.

Not sure what you're claiming. The render in this image is exactly what they've installed: windows with bars across them.

Did you work on 432 Park Avenue? I assume the Doka systems here are going to be similar. Cool to see a tower in Toronto using quite advanced construction techniques.

    Well that escalated quickly …

The stuff in the elevator core seems interesting. Part of the self climbing system?

Slowly making its way into the skyline. Methinks the materials on this one will not look good compared to the other 3 pictured. Would be quite remarkable when we see another tower just north of this on Isabella. Crazy how things have changed.

5 years later this tower is still looking great. Let’s build more like this.

You mean the northeast end of downtown 🤣

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

A horrible, tragic incident. Although I feel safe on the TTC, it angers me that more isn’t done to make others (particularly elderly people, young children, women) feel like they can take public transit without being assaulted or harassed. I really don’t understand how we can’t maintain this...

Indeed the logo is installed. Almost finished now.

This is so far off from the renderings that it’s almost funny.
