    Toronto 20 Front West | 173.82m | 52s | Brookfield | KPMB

I don’t see how building more residential in the financial district is being viewed as anything but a win. If anything, it will be necessary to prevent the hollowing out of our downtowns. Remote work is not a fad. We don’t really need more offices, and we certainly need more purpose built...

    Toronto 2 Bloor West Podium Redevelopment | ?m | 2s | KingSett Capital | WZMH

Quite a few windows have been installed now. Who cares though, their rising neighbour across the street is much more exciting.

    Toronto 11 YV | 213m | 62s | Metropia | Sweeny &Co

At least it will cover 1 Yorkville, so I only have to look at 1 ugly building at once.

    Toronto The Ivy | 110.33m | 34s | Tricon | Graziani + Corazza

The ratio of spandrel to windows on this thing is literally 50/50. 💩

    Basically at-grade now:

Toronto Manulife Centre Podium and Streetscape Renewal | 9.75m | 2s | Manulife Real Estate | MdeAS Architects

Brookfield is the property manager. Manulife owns 50%. Edit: of the land, I should say. I assume Brookfield has a very long leasehold interest.

Toronto Manulife Centre Podium and Streetscape Renewal | 9.75m | 2s | Manulife Real Estate | MdeAS Architects

People will lament the fact that it will be an Earl’s, but it will make tons of money and they will pay top dollar rent. Look no further than Cactus Club (owned by Earls) in First Canadian Place (which Manulife owns) as an example.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Every time I walk by this building people are taking pictures. It’s going to be pretty spectacular.

    Toronto Park Road | 99.3m | 27s | Capital Developments | Diamond Schmitt

I’m still curious regarding how they will (presumably) market this as a luxury building and not have parking. But what do I know. It will either be filled with students, elderly people, or hippies who have come to reclaim Yorkville with their bicycles.

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

The streetscape is pretty abysmal. They couldn’t even throw in a single plant? This whole stretch of the building along Yonge is cold and uninviting. I wouldn’t lease a space either.

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

This reads like a satire article. Unfortunately it’s not.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

RGB lighting would look cheap on this building. It's not a gaming PC.

    Toronto Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

I wouldn’t put so much faith in aA. Let alone aA x Concord.

    Toronto Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

Terrible accident by a terrible developer. Really appalling and sad. By sheer chance, nobody was killed.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

It feels like we’ve all been waiting forever for this. Personally I think it looks really good. Matches the window colour nicely and isn’t so gold that it’s tacky.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Moderately gold columns at moderately golden hour tonight.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

At first glance of this pic I was focused on the corner pieces wrapped up and didn’t even notice the entire column that had cladding!! Now for the reactions on whether it’s gold enough :D

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Bowling & entertainment venue ‘The Ballroom’ to open in the McEwan’s space. Seems like a neat idea...
