    Toronto The Gloucester on Yonge | 147.82m | 44s | Concord Adex | a—A

I saw it last week and it looked really, really good. Looking forward to seeing more.

    Toronto St Lawrence Condos at 158 Front | 91.44m | 26s | Cityzen | a—A

Was walking by it the other day and was surprised to see it more or less at ground level. It's going to have a substantial impact on this intersection.

Yonge Street Revitalization (Downtown Yonge BIA/City of Toronto)

It's very telling this thread got started in May of 2009. Ten years later to the day and still absolutely nothing has been accomplished to make this street better.

    Toronto Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts | 156.05m | 45s | Daniels | RAW Design

I'd gladly exchange quantity for quality.

    Toronto Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts | 156.05m | 45s | Daniels | RAW Design

The glaring cheapness of this construction boom is just staggering. Toronto is the Dollarama of cities.

Toronto Manulife Centre Podium and Streetscape Renewal | 9.75m | 2s | Manulife Real Estate | MdeAS Architects

This project is a paradox. On one hand it clearly improves the streetscape, yet on the other it ruins an impressive building.

    Toronto Celeste Condominiums | 136m | 39s | Alterra | Sweeny &Co

The former Goodwill building looked like a complete dump.

    Toronto MEC Queen Street (Mountain Equipment Coop) | 21.03m | 3s | Parallax | Sweeny &Co

The side of this building looks like an architectural anus.

    Toronto MEC Queen Street (Mountain Equipment Coop) | 21.03m | 3s | Parallax | Sweeny &Co

It's a malignant tumour but apparently it's carbon neutral.

    Toronto MEC Queen Street (Mountain Equipment Coop) | 21.03m | 3s | Parallax | Sweeny &Co

I can't picture what could make this building even more ugly. Catastrophe in every respect.

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

Give it another 10-15 years max and we'll see a proposal for a 70-80 storey tower on this site.

    Toronto RioCan Hall | 145.2m | 42s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

When was this building originally built? Mid-90s?

    Toronto MEC Queen Street (Mountain Equipment Coop) | 21.03m | 3s | Parallax | Sweeny &Co

Unbelievable that in 2019 we get a turd like this in such a prominent location.

    Toronto Casa | 147.52m | 46s | Cresford | a—A

I don't care what anyone says, the CASA lobby is an absolute stunner. To dismiss it while praising the sad monstrosity across the street is beyond my grasp.

City orders condo developers to buy annual metropass for every unit

Illegal or not, it's just a stupid idea all around. Developers will simply pass the cost along to the buyers, and those buyers who drive and don't need the pass will likely sell it privately to someone who would otherwise buy the pass. The end result will be no net increase in metropass sales...

    These are Exciting Times

Of all the Canadian banks CIBC is most vulnerable, and most likely it'll get absorbed by one of the other banks at a major discount since foreigners won't be allowed to bid. There's still loads of CDSs & SIVs hiding on its balance sheet - when things really begin to unravel next year they'll...

The Hypocrisy of the International Community, Re: Russia

I think you're bang on. Germans have been more or less castrated and as such no one in Poland is even remotely concerned about some kind of threat coming from the west. Aside from that, without guestion a Russian invasion of Poland would be the start of WW3, however I think it's extremely...
