Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Or just stuck with what was planned. I doubt the provincial Liberals would've said no when they started handing out funds.

Metrolinx: Sheppard East LRT (In Design)

Fun fact: All stations on line 4, with the exception of Sheppard-Yonge, fall in Carroll's ward. (Bayview can be considered half if being technical).

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Even cheaper if they can find ways to utilize the rail corridor from north of Lawrence to Leslie station. The Lesmill area is a a better station location than York Mills/Don Mills anyways. Extension further north would mean a station at Finch, and then the line can turn east to Seneca College...

Yonge Street, North York Streetscape Improvements

Was it mentioned in the report why the Yonge left turn lanes at Sheppard have to be removed?

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

It takes time. Google Maps is still showing the old configuration.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Which is actually a truncated version of phase one of a ten stations line. This is getting old.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The problem being Eglinton is one of the few routes that crosses the whole city. The next one north is Finch. We don't have a lot of alternative routes.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

At that point, it'd be more of a "Scarborough East LRT" than EELRT.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

15cents per km should be the peak rate. Make off-peak "free". They can keep the $1 per trip charge. Lastly, scrap the video charge for transponder-less vehicles. How on earth is $4.20 justified when auto-tolling should've saved them money (through not hiring toll collectors)?

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It's a matter of different visions for the corridor. At least for me, this is called the crosstown and it should've been built as a rapid crosstown metro. Redevelopment of Golden Mile can still happen with 1km apart stations. It all comes down to proper zoning. The fix you have here is...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

This is my thought process: Tap on TTC bus = trip began in zone A/B. If there isn't another tap on another transit vehicles outside of zone A/B. You'll be charge the base fare for zone A to B. The system will have to know the TTC route you tapped on only travels in certain zone(s). For...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

No worries. Now that they've created a right-of-way, they can spend a billion or so in the future to tear up the line and put in viaducts. While at that, they can spend perhaps half a billion to fix the Leslie/Eglinton intersection. (all figures are wild estimates)

Yonge Street, North York Streetscape Improvements

The neighbourhood is already a destination. The city even have "Koreatown North" noted on those new TO360 signs. Pre-covid the street was vibrant on Friday and Saturday nights. It's not King West but it serves the demographics.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Scarborough Centre to Square One - $3.50 via 401 (GO Route 94), and $5.75 (if somehow) travel via Union? $8.46 currently.

Yonge Street, North York Streetscape Improvements

Sounds good on paper, but they have made various changes to the rings roads to make them less of a by-pass for Yonge. I think the original intent was for them to take motorized traffic away from Yonge, but then they've become more of local access roads and Yonge's remained the main route for all...

    Street Lighting

In the first picture, you can see the tree is visibly darker above the light. Could that be a better indicator? Will need more pictures (from the same camera) of current lighting fixtures for comparison. I am glad they've settled with warm white, unlike the ones used in York and Peel.

They don't have much of a choice here, given the transfer before this is at Allen Road. It's either short lane changes, or overburdening the collector between Allen Road and 404/DVP. If you move back the transfer, then it also shortens the weaving section to the next collector-to-express transfer.

Might I add it doesn't just boost capacity, but also eliminates chokepoints at the perpendicular seating.

But why Bloomington when they can visit the Hindu temple in Etobicoke?

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

LRT is a broad term. That allowed Metrolinx to set the bar low in the name of cost, and they did for the at-grade sections.
