    I saw the billboard this weekend as I walked by. My letter sent to me said June, but the billboard says otherwise. Perhaps June was a bit ambitious for the group. I think regardless this one will be a while before fully complete.

    I think there is a good likely hood it has increased. From articles I read, prices can increase 2-4% per year through construction. A safe bet would be assuming a 2 % increase in value. Any others know for certain?

    I agree with the need for schoolchildren to have sunlight, but wasn't the original design of the building at its original height meant to alleviate shadowing? Was the tapering at the top enough to help with the issue?

    That balcony glass is a breath of fresh air. If you look closely in the photo renderings, the balcony glass is keeping in with what was presented.... imagine that!

    Great Gulf finally released the pricing and floor plans for the new town homes that were once Lighthaus. Unless you can afford a full row townhome (Suite D, or A but closest to rail track), the layouts seem just ok to me. The bedrooms are on avg 10 x 9 and spaces seem cramped. ps. right...

    For me, it has to do with the scale and surrounding context which differs between 70 Carlton and the one proposed at Church and Dundas. Yes they are both strong podiums, but the one at Church and Dundas just doesn't seem to fit as fluidly in my opinion.

    im in complete agreement with everyone else, this podium is hideous and is out of sorts with the feel of the Church and Dundas area.

    I dont think thats the case about finishing the bare concrete ceilings. The photos taken are from an add to lease a 2 bedroom unit. I pressume the unit is done if the owner is looking for tenants.
