    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

Looks a bit like the artwork next to 1 Bloor East.

The demolition will happen after those in that building move to the one nearly complete. As for when that move will happen, I’ve not been given a date.

What building is that? I’ve never seen it before.

    Toronto 1366 Yonge | 159.3m | 49s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

I lived at 1233 Yonge Street just 200m from this development. I never ventured down Balmoral so this is my first time seeing that beautiful fire station. What a gem. Here is Google Street view from 2021..

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

Regarding the community update above and the line that reads “Once the latter two activities are complete, structural demolition of the viaduct can commence.” - are they referencing the area in the red box below? All of that is being taken down?

    Toronto 15-17 Elm | 99m | 30s | Fora | PARTISANS

I just want to be the first to post since the servers went down yesterday. Love this project!!

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

Costs do go up from a logistics perspective yes but a developer is able to charge more for those lofty views AND due to economies of scale, some costs actually go down.

    Toronto Nobu Residences Toronto | 156.66m | 45s | Madison Group | Teeple Architects

A lot of people would agree with you on that but these types of posts are not helpful. If you disagree, and have something new to put forward, by all means add your perspective. I would love to hear it. Personally, I like its darker cladding colour as it contrasts with many of the other...

    Toronto Freed Hotel & Residences | 219m | 63s | Freed | AS + GG

For comparison, here is a rendering in the database: Here is a 160 Front Street West photo recently posted by Johnny Au:

    Toronto Freed Hotel & Residences | 219m | 63s | Freed | AS + GG

Notice that the architects for this project is AS + GG and will be incorporating a zipper type feature similar to their 160 Front Street West project. Hope it turns out as well as that project has so far.

    Toronto Brant Park | 35.36m | 11s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Do we have any renders of what that new cladding will look like?

    Toronto skyline

Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. The King Street canyon at the 25 second mark was my favourite.

So with this being 240m the difference between it and the Ritz and the Ritz and RBC is roughly the same at 30m meaning roughly the height of half way up the crane as shown in Kotsy’s pic. So top line below??

    Toronto Aquabella at Bayside | 50.9m | 14s | Tridel | 3XN

Looking at that last pic of Skycandy, it might have been a better idea if the T3 Bayside building had the staggered cladding design climb from east to west instead of west to east as the western half of the south face is more visible with the Aitken Park being there.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Can someone explain how the angled beams we see in Benito’s construction photo above relate to the angled beams we see in the render below? Am I correct in saying that what we see in the construction photo will be inside the cladding and is structural while the angled beams in the render are...

    Toronto U of T: Schwartz Reisman Innovation Centre (Phase 1) | 64.8m | 13s | U of T | Weiss/Manfredi

^^ The reverse is true some would argue. Toronto’s new cladding looks dated from the past.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Article talking about supertalls and they include the 298m Forma? (Maybe because the west tower will actually be 308m based on the DB here in UT?) Good read regardless...

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

Thanks to Mburrrrr’s photo, my first sighting of the ‘cut-away’ on the east side similar to the prominent one on the south face.

    Toronto Theatre District Residence & Riu Plaza Hotel | 156.05m | 49s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

Do I love it? No. But I’m afraid it would be replaced by another glass box. Having it adds some texture and variety making me lean towards keeping it.

As I understand it, once tenants in the building where phase 2 will be are able to move to phase 1, then the demolition and building of phase 2 can start.
