Continuing from my previous post, 284 King Street West will be kept (at least the facade) but the two buildings on the corner of Ed Mirvish are being fully bulldozed!
Are you suggesting the angle (direction) of the seats have changed for the 200 level? How is that possible without changing the concrete base of that deck?
Fences are coming in closer but I can’t recall how much higher they will be?
For the mathematician geniuses out there, for every foot of height increase on the wall what does that equate to in distance a ball must fly to be a home run??
It will appear slightly further away from that vantage I believe. Almost looks like it is on Corktown Common.
With that said, it will be nice having a backdrop of towers when walking down Front Street E and looking east.
Thanks for that emphur!!
Nobu is in the ugly hall of fame no doubt and Peter Adelaide is pretty bad but this doesn’t look that bad. I actually have hope it could be above average (slightly!).
It just gets uglier and uglier I’m sorry. It is simply vile. All that spandrel glass and mullions plus the poorly executed black cladding makes this development so disappointing near or far.
I love this restoration!!! Plus excited for the discreet addition in the back that will allow this location to thrive for years to come.
This is so much better than the previous proposal below.
