Real digging appears to have started (as of a couple days ago) on the west side of the main part of the lot (next to the car ramp). My guess is that there is a big wall there from the parking garage, so there is no need to put in a retaining wall. I guess that means the pilings are almost ready...

I took another time lapse sequence. This one is from Feb. 2: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ethervizion/4328819047/ They've expanded the site. There's barely a narrow walkway between the construction site and College Park now, and it comes very close to the skating rink too.
