Ok you've peaked my interest. Where is the temp. slab, what was it for, and it must be a monster size if it is going to take 2 weeks to remove.

The base of the tower would have blended in better with a bit of brick or stone to ease the transition, especially the 3 storey clear glass section on the north side.

That is potentially good news for consumers who have purchased in these buildings. Most of the initial design, permit and sales work has already been done, and work can start again with little delay. This may not be as bad as initially thought.

There has to be a lot of money tied up in this project to this point. Land, architects, lawyers etc. It would be a big hit to someones pocket book if it was cancelled. I expect this will happen in some iteration, maybe just one tower, who knows.
