    Toronto Velocity at the Square | 122.52m | 40s | HNR | P + S / IBI

Of course this building is ... aweful. No question about it. What I am saying is, these kind of buildings are practically everywhere in downtown, and there is no reason to be particularly offended by it. Is there anything that's worth looking at nearby? 10 Dundas East? Atrium on Bay? That...

Do you want to have coffee with me or something? You seem obsessed with commenting on ME personally, instead of on buildings.

Re-routing rail away from Don River -- what can be done to open up Don River Valley Park?

Sounds intriguing. It is sad how we utilize our natural landscape as if it is a garbage dump. How about rerouting the fugly DVP eastward to Woodbine Ave too? We have a Don River, but hardly anyone has ever seen the river. Then look at the Chicago river and any river in any large city. It is...

Where? I still see the banner today although I certainly hope it opens earlier!

Public Square and New Park Design in Toronto

Planting more is of course good, but why should Toronto want to fight rising temperature? The sane thing to do is to help increase temperature in the city, no? Odd comment. Why does a great building have to have great PATH connection? How is that a necessity? The Frank Gehry condos don't have...

Who in the world would consider Nagoya's metro system "extravagant"?

This is why I don't understand all the disappointment and contempt in this building. It is not like the city is full of interesting designs. This one is not any uglier than most of the those on the waterfront or entertainment district. It is just one of Toronto's typical design, not even among...

This goes up fast. Is there any proposal for the parking lot west of it?

    Toronto in.DE Dundas East & Jarvis Condominiums | 65.53m | 21s | Menkes | Turner Fleischer

I have no interest in knowing other people's opinion about me, so don't even try. My point is I didn't bring this up, someone else did, and when I disagree, suddenly it's me who derailed this topic. And I reserve my right to disagree every time it is discussed. It doesn't go against forum...

If that indeed makes you feel better about Toronto's sad transit... I know you have the tendency to rationalize a lot of things... New streetcar delay, not Bombardia's problem! Presto late and costly, not TTC's fault! Everything is great in Toronto, look, our ridership is so high, better than...

True but it's others who started this poor people side story, not me. And you are saying I am not allowed to disagree. I will be perfectly happy just talking about this building itself.

In a year when 88 Scott is completed, L may still looks like this! I wonder how long the move in date has been pushed back. 2 years?

Always exciting to see a building rising above ground, which means changes will be seen on a weekly basis.

There is overcrowding issues on the Bloor line? First time I hear it. I take it during rush hours several times, and not once was the BD line "over-crowded". I even got seat from changing at Bloor. The Yonge line is crowded only during certain hours, but I don't believe for a second that riders...

It should. Shanghai had its first subway line in 1995. People here used to say "but it is easier under a dictatorship!" as if that explains everything. As far as I know, no Shanghainese was complaining about the money wasted in building 14 lines in the past 20 years. The scariest thing is, they...

Xujiahui Station in Shanghai has 19 exits. People's square station has 18. In Paris, the longest walk at les halles station is 900m, which is similar as from King street to Dundas street. Toronto should start to behave like a big city. Right now it thinks like a city the size of Ottawa.

Very true. I don't understand why many Torontonians have this commuting vs. local service difference in their head. Even in hyper dense cities such as inner Shanghai and Tokyo, subway stops are not 400m apart (feel free to check), and bus stops are definitely not 200m apart. As long as it is...

LOL, that's very true. I know someone who makes over $100,000 a year but refuse to buy any shirts for over $30. People like this do exist but hardly the majority. I also used to know someone who makes hardly $50,000 but have six pair of Dolce & Gabbana shoes, among others. People's consumption...
