TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

It's a terrible idea, not because naming streetcars is a terrible idea, but because we'd have to come up with 204 unique names. WRT 4450 not being spotted in Thunder Bay, that could just be because of the ramp up of production going on up there. Since CP handles all the logistics of shipping...

High Speed Rail: London - Kitchener-Waterloo - Pearson Airport - Toronto

This isn't at all a white elephant. This system has been needed for 20+years. Even more so now that the Toronto-Waterloo innovation corridor is booming the way it is. You can't argue against it. Especially with the amount of commuters coming and going between the two cities. Case in point, this...

    The Future of Bombardier

Their venture into the CSeries wasn't a failure. The venture brought in Airbus, Airbus' supply chain and a second assembly line in the US. Meaning essentially that the US duties cannot be enforced on the Delta order.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

This isn't how things work.... trains and streetcars take a longer time to build than cars or buses. Orders are made years in advance of when they are supposed to enter service. There is no model obsolescence.

    The Future of Bombardier

The US didn't get away with screwing Airbus over... regardless of that Canada has more dispute resolution mechanisms than Europe does. For what it's worth, hypocrisy doesn't get you very far when it comes to charging duties because the foreign company is government subsidized when your own...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

The same place they are now or probably better. Bombardier's most profitable department is rail as it's one of the principal suppliers for the UK rail system, supplies many vehicles for light rail and heavy rail systems in Europe, and produces the double deck passenger cars used by many...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

Not likely. They have clients all over the world still buying locomotives, light rail vehicles, subway vehicles, monorails and bi-level passenger cars from them. The only clients having significant issues with delivery dates are here in Canada.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

I said on another forum that it would be irresponsible of Bombardier to not have more transporter cars considering the frequency and volume of expected deliveries for Eglinton Crosstown deliveries next year and the length of time required to ship Valley Line vehicles to Edmonton.
