My point is that presently, odd numbers are on the east/south side of streets. Does anyone know when that was implemented?

Is this looking north or south? My confusion is the numbering indicating a view south, yet the odd numbers indicate the east side of Yonge, unless this convention was introduced later.

That's not the lunch counter that I recall. It was waaaay bigger than that with a series of parallel counters extending from the main counter. There was also the Ladies Lounge on the mezzanine level hovering over the lunch counter. Perhaps the photo is not the main King Street location.

If I'm not mistaken, the initial Canadian introduction of KFC was at the Rendezvous on Plains Rd. in Burlington.

Although many of these high-rises do cast a shadow, they also reflect sunlight. My lower floor, west facing unit looks directly onto this site. I know about shadows. I often get reflected sunlight flooding my apartment in the morning. It is bounced off Murano and Burano as well as Teahouse...

That is exactly what I do almost daily. I keep hoping that at some point I will see something in this new park that will motivate me to throw my hat in the air. Alas, nothing so far.

I recall when I first saw this building in the late 60s. With an addition at the rear, it had become a standard 2-storey apartment building clad in the light rose coloured brick which was peculiar to the time. I don't recall the original roofline though it may have been obscured by an addition...

I recall once hearing that it was built with the purpose of providing rental housing for out of town M.P.P.s at nearby Queens Park. It is a little gem.

Was this not the site of the Savarin Tavern whose Spanish facade was incorporated into the interior of 330 Bay?
