My memory is a bit fuzzy but I’m surprised I haven’t seen more shots from this angle.
Reminiscent of the now lost TD Centre/Mies viewport. Though this is a bit more Spandrel Centre than TD.
The renders only showed the crown and maybe a couple more spaced out strips along the tower being lit with the horizontal lights.
The edges of the entire building will have lights though, wonder if it’s RGB lighting also.
Honestly I just imagine it’s its own separate construction, it even looks visually distinct.
The one good thing about that podium is the money they saved from value engineering it probably saved more cuts from happening to the actual tower.

Once we’ve proven the need for a barrier we should work on design and funding for a purpose built structure. This go for the bikes lanes on Adelaide...
No, Apple devices also have Express Transit where you can tap without unlocking for transit terminals.
I’ve been doing this daily with my Apple Watch on the streetcars since they turned it on. Only on the subway fare gates does this not work, yet

I’m just surprised they carried the brick panels from the front to the back

Okay the companies haven’t made it easy for me to not mixup. So to confirm:
iPhones can also pay with credit cards without unlocking with Express Transit and as of right now that seems to be enabled for all the Presto readers except the subway fare gates (which apparently is coming in Sept...
Nah lights on buildings are cool. Can’t any more light pollution to the city, might as well make it cool.
Though I am being reminded that lot of Torontonians are no-fun
Don't get me wrong, I'm still quite happy with this iteration of the market. But wasn't the winning design substantially different than what was eventually built—I recall it being much more angular and unique.
