I’m sure it will be, along with the GO connection. In my opinion, Metrolinx shouldn’t wait for the Crosstown to be done to open the Mount Dennis GO and UPX station. Once it’s complete, open it to serve the Mount Dennis community.

For the sake of historical accuracy, the Toronto, Grey, and Bruce Railway used to run where the fourth track is being built. It opened as a narrow gauge railway, so the rendering can be an ode to that ;)

To be fair, the Feds only promised up to $500 million, which is a small part of RER-ing Milton. The project would be multi-billions.

Original plan was an entirely new track for GO between West Harbour and Confederation. Evidently that wasn’t needed, and they’re just doing the tie in track. That corridor isn’t that busy, and if local freights can stay out of the way of GO trains it will be fine. I do hope upgrades to the...

We also shouldn’t forget folks who simply don’t own cars, including young people. Confederation will be great in terms of opening up access to another part of Hamilton.

I assume that any express trains that will serve West Harbour will be extended to serve Confederation.

I hope Ontario doesn’t pay a cent for the Gatineau Tramway.

Four projects total now - Brampton, KW, Toronto (Eglinton East, Waterfront East). With ballooning costs I cannot see how these all get funded in a timely manner.

Worth flagging from this tweet. Metrolinx (OnXpress) will use (more like rebuild) Obico Yard on the Canpa Sub to use as an OnCorr construction staging ground. Looks like work trains will be loaded there then ship out along the Canpa to execute construction projects.

Looks like GO (via OnXpress) has purchased new maintenance and construction equipment for the OnCorr project.
