Does anyone predict that CF could sell off this site again? That would be my dream tbh. This is so unimaginative.

Just curious if there is any more info on the vision for Uptown? I can't seem to find it either than the Brampton 2040 vision document.

    York

So glad i'm not the only one that notices and lovess York for these reasons! Imo it still feels very working-class and gritty. I love the different communities. It's very quiet and 'homey' and I do love the little shops and abandoned corner stores that I love seeing littered all over. I...

some cohesiveness can provide some degree visual interest as seen in most of Paris, where uniformity is done very well, for example. I disagree. I think this is a steal personally.

A bit late to the game here and forgive my ignorance, but does this mean that COBE will take place of Karacusevic Carson in phases 4/5? I tried finding more info but am confused.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

The difference between this development and schidtyplace is that waterfrontTO is the developer and there will be better architecture with design competitions for the buildings and likely wayy better programming and cultural activities from what i've gathered. Cityplace was extremely lacklustre...

    Toronto 888 Dupont | 61.7m | 18s | TAS | SA

There's been some talks about Downsview becoming a hub for this, through investment into these kinds of spaces and especially with the soon to be abandoned hangars. But thanks for the reply, I agree there is limited supply.

Well, certainly its grittiness to some extent, yet I still have hope for some developments. Gotta stay hopeful that the arts community always have innovative ways of keeping cities alive.

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

I saw on a UT thread a couple days ago there were rumours about the possibility of a theatre coming to Mirvish Village. I don't remember who posted that but does anyone have more info? Thanks.

This is a massive loss for the arts community in Toronto. I have many friends who have used this space. People were friendly, the work they were making was wonderful, and overall I felt like it elevated the Toronto community. I hope there is a plan to support the loss of studio spaces like this.

Okay UrbanToronto, the next consultations we all need to come through and speak up. Tired of sitting here behind a keyboard and taking this lazy ish from developers. We deserve better.

Yonge/eg really is different from when I went to school in the area. Overwhelming but kind of in a cool way? Of course I know there are strains on infrastructure and issues of aesthetics and services, however It's become kind of like Downtown where there's such a variety in terms of the kind...

    Toronto id8 Downsview | ?m | ?s | Northcrest Developments | KPMB

Here is my theory: The western leg of the Downsview development will be modestly compact and dense; it's the hangar district just south of the park commons area. Since it isn't well served by a subway stop you'd either have to walk all the way from Wilson or you'd have to walk from Sheppard...
