    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The Oakville location is better because of the larger pick-up and drop off areas, proximity to the highway, availability of longer-term parking etc. VIA is more like an airport than GO is - large catchment area with lots of folks being dropped off by car. We also have to consider that Oakville...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Highly doubt the VIA station would move from Oakville to Port Credit. The Oakville location is much better set up to serve VIA.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Agree with everything you’re saying but I’ll just be a nerd and say that the Crosstown has a bunch of LRVs with single cabs, rather than all double cabs like ION. Exact same models otherwise!

    Siemens set 12 en route.

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Hmmm that is interesting. OnXpress will need some pretty substantive work trains to build out OnCorr, and these could fit the bill.

The first LRV has made it all the way to Humber College, via LinkedIn.

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Siemens is opening a new plant in North Carolina to increase their production capacity. Production starts 2024. Obviously their products are much more popular than they anticipated. With such a larger order, sticking with Wabtec is less urgent for Metrolinx I’d assume. The new set of...

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Looks like a bid Siemens would be quite competitive on with the Chargers.

New Metrolinx Annual Procurement Plan is up for 2023-2024. Some fleet items of note, including another attempt for MX to procure new diesel locomotives: 2024 Annual Procurement Plan Bi-level (BL2) Coach Refurbishment Bi-level (BL7) Coach Refurbishment F59 Locomotive Overhaul...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

First Hurontario LRV at Alstom’s Millhaven test track? It isn’t red so it can’t be Ottawa, and all of Finch’s trains have been delivered. From Facebook.

    Toronto King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

An urban GO station with no parking.… the Bloomington designers must be having a meltdown.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

12 car GO trains only have a few years left… OnXpress has made it clear that trains will be shorter in the future, which would presumably impact station design.

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

I agree with you that a connecting track at Brampton (Owen Sound Sub to CN) doesn't really make sense. I would be curious what a fly-under and trenched section through downtown Brampton would cost. On the plus side, you'd be cut-and-covering, and could go under the CN corridor with a Verona...

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

1h 18 mins from Union to Orangeville isn't slow, especially considering traffic. Also the bulk of the ridership from the corridor isn't Orangeville, it is Brampton. The connection to Brampton GO is very workable. The Milton Line connection is fine too (once Milton is RER'd) as you'd just...

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

It's been gone for a long time. You'd be expropriating land and completely rebuilding the corridor. Much easier and cheaper to use the OBRY routing and connect in with a future upgraded Milton Line.

    Toronto King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

Planning application submitted to the City back in November. Link here. From a cursory look, two new renderings:
