Yup. Most of the Barrie Corridor is being built out to allow for future 3rd track for express service. There is no timeline for the third track being built.

Well the pictures from Sacramento are of a special livery VIA train, with VIA logos, and the VIA black stripe, unlike ONTC’s livery 1 which has a dark blue stripe. ONTC’s units are scheduled to begin production this May, so we’re still a while off from finished Northlander trains.

The chatter on some other sites is of a “special livery” VIA set, with this being it. It will be set number 18, and set 17 is about to ship. So I guess we will find out soon what the whole train looks like.
