Yeah, I was under the impression that a line requires 3 tracks in order to run express service. Hence why I was disappointed to see the Davenport Diamond guideway was only constructed wide enough to accomodate 2 tracks.

With this track replacement, are they installing different switches at the intersections so the streetcars don't have to drive slow through an intersection?

Did they have to set it up this way? Or was it poor planning/ execution? Designing the tracks so the trains have to go slow is extremely frustrating. That really puts a damper on this entire project for me. I hope it's temporary or can be rectified.
