Just a quick update that happened a couple of days ago, but I haven't seen on here yet. The Toronto East York Community Council passed the height adjustments, so now the only step until FINAL approval is the City Council meeting on Dec. 13. Given that it passed easily in TEYCC,, the Dec. 13...

If the city is worried about 4 o'clock shadow, tell them to buy a good shaver! 🤣

Roads: Ambassador & Gordie Howe Bridges

I'm relieved to hear that. The 80's decision was NOT popular, especially in West Michigan where I lived! I stand corrected.

The decay of downtown Queen Street East

I actually agree, with the caveat that those needed institutions are largely non-existent at this point, save for CAMH. So, for most, the only "option" is arrest and jail time. Which is a LOT more expensive than social services.

Thanks for the fulsome reply. I obviously did not look in the right spot on the City's labyrinthine Planning pages. I appreciate this.

I've been looking through City of Toronto documents, as much as the general public can, to see if there's a hint of when/if the proposed height increases will be approved? I haven't found much, other than a sense that negotiations are happening, as with 1 Bloor W. Anyone have any idea?

Only behind, if you consider Shanghai and Shenzhen as an example that we would aspire to. Frankly, I find that thought horrifying.
