    Kitchener The Bright Building | ?m | 18s | HIP Developments | Martin Simmons

Ask and ye shall receive. Full credit to attica over at WRC. Obviously these are from a little earlier on in the year but these are a bunch of the precast sections, they were delivered/stored at what is currently the vacant lot of the Metz (formerly Schneiders, and set to undergo massive...

    Toronto Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

I'd get on board with this. A few other threads could use this as well 😂

President Joe Biden's United States of America

Sorry but they've always been regressive and we shouldn't play into thr stereotypes that they're dumb. Someone like Boebert or MTG might be but part of the reason we're in this mess is because there are far too many cunning scheming republicans putting up an act in public to gain control...

Ngl when I clicked on the thread and saw the updated rendering I thought it was 55 Yonge and that it was a downgrade. Couldn't figure out why there was all this praise. Went back to the first page and saw the original rendering and then realized this is truly a major improvement.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

From some angles I think this looks decent and I'd say this building is growing on me, but from other angles it's just very bad.

Not just a senior member, 2 years and you're already 1/3 of the way to superstar, your posting rate is madness 😂

I gotta say, I always love theatre park in all these photos as well. Really is one of the best buildings in the area. Between this, theatre park, and forma in the future, this part of town will be one of the highest quality little areas.

    2022/24 Russian-Ukrainian War

Good twitter thread detailing the current struggles of the Ukrainian army in the Donbass. Some other points I've been noticing in recent days that aren't included in this thread. Ukraine has not been getting all that has been promised to them, with weapons being publicly announced and then...

Yea I don't buy this for a single second. The company is not going to respond to a buyer and say yea we're bankrupt but refuse to publicly admit it, sorry but we probably won't even be able to build this project. So instead they've come up with this excuse, which may have some ounce of truth to...

The One - Mizrahi Developments - (Real Estate) -

Maybe the allegations aren't as bad as they appear, but given there is an apparent trend here, I find it highly unlikely they are false. There are multiple ongoing suits, that doesn't happen if you're hands are clean.

The One - Mizrahi Developments - (Real Estate) -

And no matter how you cut it, it doesn't look good. That's not to say this project in of itself is doom and gloom, but Mizrahi will have almost certainly soured a lot of ties with a lot of people over this. Even in the best case scenarios I highly doubt anyone will want to work with him...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

I do not understand a handgun ban, it makes absolutely zero sense and there is no issue with handgun crime as a result of handguns legally acquired within Canada. This only hinders those who would seek to get handguns legally for range and sporting purposes. Everything else I can get on board...

    Best New Movies

Since this thread has been revived, has anyone seen everything everywhere all at once? I've heard very good things but can't decide if it's worth going to watch.

One would assume they are the same as anywhere else in the province. You need your license to fly over pedestrians or other people and in public spaces, and given both the height youd be flying at and proximity to local airports you'd likely have other considerations as well.

    2022/24 Russian-Ukrainian War

Not to put a damper on what people are saying here, but Ukraine taking back Crimea is extremely far fetched for more reasons than one, even if it is justified. There are still no guarantees Ukraine wins this war in the short term. I think history proves that expansionist regimes are doomed to...

    Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (nCoV-2019)

I'm awaiting it with great nerves and excitement! It's been far too long since our last large public health scare if I do say so myself.

    Barrie 34-50 Bradford Street | 101.4m | 29s | HIP Developments | Martin Simmons

Knew the render before this one was too good to be true. The other day someone pointed out that virtually all HIP projects are the same and yet again that is proving to be the case. Grey concrete box with glass balconies. The balcony patterns have slight variations project to project but...

This is a good point, we used to have tons of one way streets and then turned our back on them. When I lived in Hong Kong it seemed as though half the city was one way streets, and they were generally the streets that were less jammed.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Yea this seems more than reasonable especially for a development like this. I'm very surprised.
