Back to 1 Yonge st. Slow start today on site but they are “making hay while the sun shines” and “before the white stuff flys” pour concrete at nearly 6 pm.

Today I observed an excavator with few long arms and a smallish bucket reach down the ramp to pull up material to load dump trucks. It seemed to be a slow process.

Redpath is not noisy, and the smell is sweet, like molasses, not offensive. The Gardiner traffic is noisier and dirtier and smellier. Having the dynamics of a working slip in the harbour with a couple of dozen freighters a year provides vitality and interest, in my opinion.
