the diagram there is accurate for the whole route for most of it (or at least at stations) it is pretty much right up against the edge. There's not really any more room at overpasses and stations and such without mass expropriation so 🤷‍♂️

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Might really complicate maps but could work well. I think double street names like Bathurst-Eglinton should be reserved for interchanges but I like the neighbourhood street name ones (Bathurst-Forest Hill). Basic Maps could also just include the neighbourhood or attraction name and then more...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

if avoiding the Go probably only the easternmost parts like west rouge. funny enough though I've had several 100+ minute trips on the ttc within Scarborough. If there's any bad traffic or weather going from the far east of Scarborough to the far west can be absolutely brutal.

the TTC took over operation of the Metropolitan Street Railway in the 1920s. it went all the way up to Lake Simcoe along Yonge

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I made a quick fantasy surface lrt network on google earth a little while back, thinking about making proper map out of it now 🤔

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I would be good with dufferin, they only problem I see there is where to go. North of Eglinton it's a little too close to line 1, so I think i'd rather see it on jane where it could probably get a higher ridership

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

maybe omitting jane and Dufferin, I think going down the list of rapid TO priorities gives you a pretty good idea for how these might pan out if there was to be another push for surface lrts. The current implementation list is Eglinton east complete (and already has plans for surface lrt soo)...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

This is exactly what I was trying to say before you put it a lot better than I did lol. Parking spaces may be valuable here, but we don't need it, and building parking here Is really the opposite of what Metrolinx should be striving for. Thankfully they're not building parking here as they do to...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

You take the SRT every day and then tell me it's just a vanity project to boost Scarborough resident's self-esteem. Most people who take the rt now probably don't have cars, most connections are made from other transit connections, be it the subway or buses. Also, the ability to drive downtown...

it was actually the other way around last time:)

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Parking at stc isn't really for the station so moving it all doesn't really make sense. Most of it is getting redeveloped eventually according to the Scarborough city centre master plan or whatever its called, as well as the roads are being realigned to be less messy and hopefully less...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

again I completely see how some parking could take some cars off the road and could benefit some riders, I just feel like it putting a bandaid on a far larger issue, that I would rather see addressed. Even if it does reduce km driven by cars, parking is still encouraging people to drive. I'd far...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Having some parking at Sheppard may shorten a few trips, but I don't think it's worth it in the end. The area is bound to see a lot of redevelopment in the near future, and taking up that precious land with parking (even below ground) seems like a complete waster to me. Most of the commuters...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I sure hope so. I wouldn't expect parking from the Ontario line but this is making me hope that there's also no parking on the Yonge north or Eglinton west subways (except maybe at Langstaff or something)

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

the best news from this (not a lot of news) is that they confirmed there will be no passenger parking at any of the station whatsoever (though there will be passenger pick of and drop off at Sheppard)

Went on a bike ride from Kennedy to Leslie along Eglinton today, hoping to maybe catch a glimpse of some LRVs with no luck. Did get to see the surface stations weest of victoria for the first time in a couple of months though so. Pretty much the entire surface section looks to be complete...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I don't get why it really matters... they just need to test it to make sure it works smoothly before rolling It out across most of the fleet, it doesn't need to be a large sample size, and it saves them some hassle if they do encounter a problem. This is an interesting thing to have strong...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

they're two of the busiest and longest routes where more people could be using the wifi for longer... makes sense to me

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Mainly density. Centre doesn't have the density of Clark, nor the planned density of royal orchard, and it's a little close to those two to have all three. I think it would make a good location for a compromise station if they had to, but i'd rather they build one of the two now with provisions...
