I'm not 100% sure but I can't imagine this is a miss. It must be intentional. The glass line doesn't always have to follow the slab (frame in this case)

I can actually appreciate the spandrels and glass colours on the westblock. AA did a good job at making the white boxes as clean as possible despite the challenges one often have with window wall ratio and louvers from exhaust and fancoils. Design haus on the other hand is truly what NOT to do...

Livmore is a great spandrel example, but not because it has more glazing and less spandrel , but because it camouflages its spandrel panels well by using the right colour of spandrel and the right glass (more reflective glass, and less transparent in the lighter volumes, and darker glass in the...

I keep seeing people say this on urbantoronto but there is no such thing as a “cheap” spandrel. All spandrel glass panel costs the same, whether its blue, grey, green, it’s just a back painted colour behind the glass; more spandrels actually is required nowadays for better energy performance...

I'm not sure how much the buildings to the west will be able to block the daniels tower judging by this secondary plan...

My point is this building is not featuring the spandrel. Would it look better if it is black mullion with black spandrel so that it looks like one giant black mass and the million disappears like garrison? Maybe? But I don’t know about a black 45 storey building. With regards to mullion spacing...

On the west tower, it’s on south and west side. On the east tower, the perforated balconies is on the north and east side. The two towers are composed with and decorated side and a “naked” side and are viewed as a pair.

Imagine this with multi coloured spandrels. Can we say tacky? While this taupe shade may not be my first choice, the fact that it departed from the usual blue/ green spandrel that we see everywhere else on our skyline and brings a warmth to the cool colours of the balconies is enough contrast...

It’s clear that the spandrel colour is not suppose to be the focus here but the circular patterned balconies that makes the entire building a billboard. There was a previous comment here that says the patterned balconies in certain light looks super busy already, imagine that with different...
