    Toronto | The Well | 174m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

I saw a neat video from the bottom of the cistern (private page, can't share). Looks like the rebar mat at the bottom is done, and there's a base down there for what I believe is a crane

    Toronto | CIBC SQUARE | 241m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

Pretty sure they've been slowed down by the clean-up from the big concrete spill they had a little while back. Should pick up again soon

    Toronto | The Well | 174m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

I know it's not technically in Toronto, but Pearson comes to mind as another exceptionally large site

    Toronto | TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 171m | 52s | Lanterra | architectsAlliance

They've installed sill track on the north elevation. Glass soon

    Toronto | The One | 309m | 85s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Or it's for a pumpcrete tower? Placing concrete with the buckets eats up piles of crane time

    Toronto | CIBC SQUARE | 241m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

The east side doesn't get cladding yet because the podium is going to climb higher and cover that section. Not sure why they aren't doing the south side yet

TCDSB to charge teachers for parking at school lots!

I'm with the TDSB, and wholeheartedly support the idea of charging us for parking. No one else in the city is getting free parking, nor should we.

    UrbanToronto Redesign

Not an ideal solution, but I installed a Chrome extension, Stylus, that let me apply my own theme over the redesign. It just took four lines of code to fix: .main-header {display: none !important;} .p-nav-inner {display: none !important;} .p-sectionLinks {display: none !important;} .main-footer...

    Toronto | Wellesley on the Park | 194m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

The UofT campus, Huron and (Russel?). It's the little pedestrianized street between Lash Miller and Sidney Smith

    Toronto | YSL Residences - Yonge Street Living (383 Yonge) | 299m | 85s | Cresford | Kohn Pedersen Fox

That's not going to be a sketchy sidewalk to go down at 2am. Not at all.

I could be wrong, but wasn't the opening of the second entrance(s) supposed to wait until Clover finishes? That signage over the entrance is also less than helpful. Yes, if you were to go through those doors, down a set of stairs, through a corridor, along the platform, and then back up another...

    Toronto | 33 Bloor East | ?m | 17s | Epic | WZMH

Some sort of backing? The bottom two rows of glazing have backpans installed behind them, so they aren't vision glass. It's spandrel.

    Toronto | Clover on Yonge, The | 148m | 44s | Cresford | architectsAlliance

I wonder if they're thinking of opening the south half of the podium early. The tower is set way back from the street, and it's not like they need the Yonge frontage for logistics. They could probably get a couple of the retail units open while tower construction continues above

    Toronto | 33 Bloor East | ?m | 17s | Epic | WZMH

Wow. All that time and money and effort and that much of the frontage is just going to be spandrel? I figured that retail space was going to have big, soaring windows fronting on to Bloor.

Mobile friendly relaunch of UrbanToronto coming shortly

Is there any way to disable the navigation bars at the top of the screen? It's eating up almost a quarter of my display

Toronto | College Park Revitalization with Barbara Ann Scott Skate Trail | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | RAW Design

Just echoing others, it's like the designers went out of their way to make it a pain to cross the park on the diagonal to get from Bay/College to Yonge. I used to cut through the park frequently. Don't imagine I'll bother now

    Crosstown LRT | Metrolinx

I think that sign needs to have vertical yellow lines intersecting at Cedarvale and Eglinton, and differently coloured lines (striped green and white?) intersecting at Caledonia and Mt Dennis. As a local I get what the sign is trying to convey, but I'm not sure if a visitor would make the...

    Toronto | YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

From the building permits it looks like the tenants so far are a film school on the third floor, and a Meridian Credit Union and RBC on the ground floor

    Toronto | Stanley Condominiums | 138m | 41s | Tribute Communities | Core Architects

It's straight curtainwall, and from the inset faces it looks like those are giant sliding doors.

Toronto | Crosstown LRT: Mount Dennis Station and EMSF | ?m | 3s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

Actually, that is weird to see them that complete. Usually the stringers and pits are installed early, but the steps and handrails and finished panels come later
