    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

I don't see a mention of implementing Eglinton Connects, or the bike lanes at least, with this work, I would hope they do.

    East Don Trail Project

Yes that would be the location, it would be a shame if there doesn't end up being a way to cross Eglinton here without having to divert to an existing traffic signal.

    East Don Trail Project

I would hope for an underpass where that trail is supposed to cross Eglinton. It's busy and wide enough, never mind that the Crosstown is three tracks here for a centre storage track.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

Which is hardly significant of course, those who think getting rid of two or three stops will make the line into a crosstown express service that draws riders from the entire GTA are out to lunch. And lets not forget that there are already two other rapid transit lines from Kennedy Station that...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

Based on what, just how much time is being lost with the stops you want to remove? And just how will getting rid of a stop or two save that much time that the line becomes a magnet for crosstown trips?

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

That anti BRT group in Highland Creek is going to have a brain aneurism over this proposal, And I like it, The bike lane plan that is.

You don't seem to be dead set against the other surface LRT's,

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The surface LRT's were all planned for capacity reasons, your famed red bus lanes won't be useful to riders left at stops while full buses pass them by. The stop spacing can be whatever they want. so can signal operations.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

If there has ever been a ridership projection for the Sheppard Subway that justifies a Subway on Sheppard, I would for sure have seen it, and the subway supporters would have been beating us across the head with it every chance they got.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Does that figure for Finch include 30 years of maintenance and operations? I was also not aware that transit vehicles in their own lanes are burdened by traffic. But regarding this thread, in the decades that politicians have been pandering with Sheppard Subway promises, has there ever been...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

There would still be the grade separation with Danforth Rd, by lowering the railway corridor, not a simple project even without the flyunder.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

A battery fire in the cabin would be noticed quickly, but not one in the luggage hold.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

The Leaside Residence Association, they wanted the stop at Leslie to remain, tunneling through here would have made it to expensive to build. The TTC started changing the plans to start the tunneling from Don Mills, since it would be easier to build from there. This group started making noise...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

We can thank a local community group for cancelling the plans to extend the tunnel to Don Mills, who then later complained about the surface construction and tree removal at the portal.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I found this document from GO that details the provisions built in to the new platforms, still would have been easier to just build them to the level boarding height to begin with, and have started modifying the coaches several years ago...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I was thinking that all of the recently built or rebuilt platforms would be raised by adding a layer of concrete, but that is still a large use of materials, expense and time that would have been avoided if they started modifying the coaches five years ago, and built all those platforms to a...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The coaches will have to be modified anyway, whether level boarding began five years ago or starts five years from today. The longer they wait to do it the more recently built or rebuilt platforms will have to be raised, not a small expense or use of concrete.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

The stops are already defined, in fact the recent report removed stops that were previously planned along Sheppard for the Sheppard LRT.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

The stop spacing is actually pretty good, nothing like St Clair, Through service to the Crosstown would raise the cost substantially, and most riders from that direction are going to and from the Subway.
