GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

If you consider the approx $30 billion price tag for GO RER early works and on-corr project, that comes about to $6 billion per line. Granted some of the amount is for Union expansion and not for the lines themselves. If Milton line is being electrified with 2WAD with addition of two new tracks...

    GO Transit Electrification (Metrolinx, Proposed)

Just 60,000 odd new riders from 15 km $15 billion subway line?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Of course talking about general public. You think an average person is so dumb that they can't tell it's a bus stop or a subway station until you slap a T logo on it?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

How does putting T logo help? People can see a subway station or a bus stop and realize it's transit. If they can't then adding a small T logo won't help either. What could help is the logo of the transit agencies and route numbers operated from that stop.

I suggest you stop complaining about Mississauga not getting enough transit and Scarborough getting a subway. This is probably the thousandth time you have said this and this is simply trolling. This won't get you better transit in Mississauga. Complain to the MPs instead instead of derailing...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

I am seeing more cars parked in Cooksville GO station this year. Maybe because some companies increased their work from office days starting this year.

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

Apparently Union is the second busiest station in North America after Penn station in New York.

Was the new height approved by the City? The last thing I remember is reading about recommendations for approval but not the approval itself.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I am not sure if you noticed but GO had added 10-11 minutes to the schedule earlier. Cooksville to Union is supposed to take 32 min but had been showing 43 minutes for about a month. Trains would normally reach anywhere between 32 and 40 minutes to Union. Maybe they are going back to the...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

We have had express trains on the Lakeshore lines, so RER won't be adding somethin new. At other lines, how feasible are express trains with only 2 tracks? Will all stop services have to slow down to let express trains pass? With high frequency, it will be challenging to time the express trains...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

You are delusional if you think the ridership will increase multifold by increasing train trips 4 times. You can't force people to use GO just because you increased the services by 4 times. Case in point Sheppard subway, which is much less utilized than other lines despite tons of condos near...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

You both are proving my point. Which is that busiest GO lines already have a frequency that is acceptable to most. Increasing frequency from here won't bring tons of new riders. Keyword being "tons of". People here are expecting multifold increase in ridership. Yes, the ridership can double in...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

We don't have a reason to believe that service will be even better than 15 min. We need tons of commuters in the first place to need that kind of frequencies. We are assuming that with better frequencies, there will be tons of latent demand that will magically appear. Lakeshore lines already run...
