    Toronto Media Landscape and Personalities

I can tell you they are, but for now are being very quiet about it. Buyouts first to the greatest extent possible. I'm hearing numbers comparable to Bell's. I should also mention that numerous Bay Street law firms are going through headcount reductions and hiring freezes, for now mostly on the...

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

That's my old church and elementary school the LRT is passing by (St. Wilfrid's). The adjectives are inaccurate, if not pejorative.

Looking at that picture of the viaduct reminds me that I just finished a fine history of the effort to construct the Luminous Veil: The Suicide Magnet, by Paul McLaughlin, Dundurn Press: https://www.dundurn.com/books_/t22117/a9781459751408-the-suicide-magnet

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Bay Street law is currently three days minimum for most large firms, at least four for students/lawyers and management and I'm hearing rumours of four-five day weeks for clerks and assistants.

    Bad Boy Furniture Bankruptcy

Correct, the location on Finch West near Keele remained open through the first bankruptcy, the same store my parents bought furniture from when they first arrived in this country in 1971.

Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown LRT

It's full of stars, and Presto machines! I think I'm finally seeing Metrolinx's logic here.

    UrbanToronto is Celebrating 20 Years

I definitely recall the Mike in TO and Mr. Man development scoops, some of those threads are still active.

    UrbanToronto is Celebrating 20 Years

I see that my infamous ROM rant still exists, and I wouldn't change a word. (I'm pretty certain I joined the original board around...2004-ish?)

Toronto Manulife Centre Podium and Streetscape Renewal | 9.75m | 2s | Manulife Real Estate | MdeAS Architects

I was told by the leasing agent that all vacant units are being upgraded to, quote, "condo standards". Which means I'm staying put in my unit...

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

I grew up at Keele and Finch and friends of mine who still live there tell me the brown townhouses on Romfield Drive, and the former Ferlisi plaza are both in play or will be soon.

    Toronto 19 Bloor West | 301.8m | 94s | Reserve Properties | Arcadis

I remember that era: the long, thorough photo updates, and the Mike in TO and Mr. Man development scoops.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

That is very tame compared to what my dad told me when he drove the Bloor night bus in the 70s and 80s. Some drivers on that crew would full-on pummel drunks, open the door, toss them out and be on their way. That sent a message out on the street very quickly, you do NOT mess with those drivers...

    Toronto 328 Bloor West | 114.92m | 37s | First Capital | BDP Quadrangle

May or may not be related: Parts of the Green P lot behind Spadina station were fenced off as of this morning.

As a resident my interactions with them have also been...not good. They couldn't care less about day-to-day issues in the neighbourhood (litter clean-up, vandalism, etc.) and seem more concerned with their social media and whiz-bang shiny-objects distractions like ice sculptures and car shows...

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Crews are tearing up - again - the pavement on top of the concrete pipeline from the pumping station on Balmuto, it's likely there was some kind of rupture or damage (maybe due to the sudden dip in temperature).

    Toronto 83 Bloor West | 269.05m | 82s | Parallax | Arcadis

Had a feeling this block was going to come into play at some point, as they seem to have allowed a number of the leases to lapse.

    Toronto One Roxborough West | 49.42m | 12s | North Drive | Reflect Architecture

Walk by here often, that Starbucks is Ground Zero for Rosedale yoga mums and $3000 prams. This will be fought...hard.
