Damn, I remember in the early 2000's when Richmond and Adelaide west were busy as all hell and the entertainment district was just that, full of entertainment (well, bars and clubs). Sad to hear how dead it is now.

Those exposed concrete strips at the top of the buildings that haven't been cladded yet are driving my OCD insane.

I think this is one of those things where the lower levels look warmer because we're looking at the floor and the top bluer ones look cooler cause we're looking at those floor's ceilings which have fluorescent lights installed...? No idea why a few floors are green though.

I try to not get excited about anything this early, but if they can figure out a way to make this happen I think it'd be a great addition to the city.

These look like if 19 Duncan and 1 Yorkville had shorter twin babies LOL But seriously, not exactly sure what I think yet, but I do think if they used high quality materials it could be a nice project.

I really do like how this building is coming together. But, gonna have to take some time to say that this one to the left, X or X2 or whatever it's name is, is just 😗👌. I love this one.

I know I'm not the first to mention this... I'm sure.... but, I can't imagine the disappointment of buying pre-con only to discover you're not getting a balcony... This must've been discussed before. Right? I've apparently not kept up with this project and suddenly have opinions.

I don't recall ever seeing a rendering with those LED strips on the roof panels... Will the entire roof area have them? Can it play movies?

I feel like they gave us just enough cladding to get us to shut the hell up for a while before adding more.... Seems to be working. Looks great. *edit* Oh, they're different height windows. Got it 👍

I might be changing my mind on this one lately.... am I reading this wrong or is this one looking more promising? There was a previous post where I compared it to the NY towers near Bayview Village, but it's definitely looking better now. Maybe I should wait to judge? I still kinda see the NY...

Is this an angle we can look forward to seeing more of by any chance?

Oh damn, yes, I unfortunately did see that total disaster of a person 🤦‍♂️ I meant more like having a shit-ton of nightclubs and bars side by side for blocks type of thing. Like how Richmond and Adelaide were basically lined with them at the time.

Man, the club district used to be pretty damn wild back in the early aughts. Nothing comparable to that type of entertainment district era nightlife currently exists in Toronto anymore, right?

For the very tops of the buildings that still have the unclad, concrete strip (it's bothering the hell out of me for some reason), is that where we're expecting signage to show up? Or what's up with that? Because I would imagine the signage to appear over the portion at the top that's already...
