    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

I believe they're talking about insulation value from the context of the conversation. Besides the r value of concrete, all the steel reinforcement presents a whole lot of thermal bridging anyway

    Toronto BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

The plan is to expand to 45,736 seats, an increase of 17,756. The link below includes some renderings. https://www.bmofield.com/events/fifa26

    Toronto Ontario Line: Cosburn Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

As I've spent my entire life growing up in this neighbourhood, I'm kind of disappointed with this plan. I don't want to see that entire west side stretch of retail wiped out for a station and would much rather see the McDonalds on the north-east corner replaced. I do understand however that the...

    Riverdale

It's been a travesty, what's happened to The Danforth. COVID really drove the nail into the coffin. With Logo and Cafe Frappe hitting the dust, that's really the end of Greek nightlife on The Danforth, save for Strofes. Pape is definitely the new Greektown. I don't find myself going down to...

    Toronto 888 Dupont | 53.9m | 14s | TAS | SA

I'm definitely digging the weird here. The only thing that I'm not particularly happy about is amount of glass at ground level. Maybe carry the squiggly-pattern treatment down to grade to break up the glass.

Some Sixty Colborne inspired podium design there. Could be good!

    East York-Old East York

There's been a recent surge in Greek immigrants to the area, many of them in their early 20's to mid 30's and cafe's and live music are a critical part of the Greek culture. It's prime time to open one of those business on Pape as you can see with all of them doing well. I've heard rumours of...

Phyllo Cafe on the corner or Pape and Cosburn has been a success. Packed full every time I walk by. Earlier in January, they were featured on BlogTO. https://www.blogto.com/restaurants/phyllo-cafe-toronto/

Lesser recognized buildings in Toronto that you enjoy

Staying in the east end, Westminister Court Retirement Residences, 156 Floyd ave. I live across the street and have always appreciated the angled design rather than the slab towers on adjacent streets.

I spent most of my early life here. From daycare to grade 6! I'm happy to see it get some recognition. :D

I definitely like this spacing. That whole strip along the East side of Pape could use redevelopment from Cosburn to Gamble. My fantasy for that strip would be mid-rise with retail at grade and station entrances with much of the corner (McDonalds lot) becoming a public square.

    East York-Old East York

That's too bad. I always saw this site as a prime spot for a mid-rise or at least something a little more urban/pedestrian oriented as you said.

I was also shocked when I passed Eleven11 to see it close down. It's a bit sad as I've seen it slowly expand although I'm excited about the prospects of that space. Also, I'm curious to see what happens to the dry-cleaners on the north-west corner. It's been closed for some time now.

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to give it a shot tonight and see how things go.
