They have no low cost shopping though...Freshco, Basics and No Frills are all miles away. (Loblaws does have better prices than Farm Boy. Sometimes better prices than other stores, but mostly, outside of their weekly flyer, they are expensive.)

Too bad there is no plan to maintain some of the former foodwares market as a Zellers restaurant...THAT would have been amazing!!

How soon before Loblaws (just across the street @ Dupont & Christie) closes to make way for even more condos? I'm still on topic too, because Loblaws is supposed to be one of the selling points for this future condo. Fiesta Farms and Farm Boy are also close by. (Will Loblaws still be around...

    Toronto Eaton Centre

I was given a rumour/heads up that Zellers was coming to the Eaton centre Bay because a restaurant or two will be closing, allowing for more room for a Zellers store...did any restaurant actually close?

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

I Like what you are saying, but I will argue further, that it is also only fair that each restaurant that charges the deposit CLEARLY informs of the latest time a cancelation can be made before a deposit is kept.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Well, they're not intentionally running a deposit business. They just want people to prove that they are serious about the reservation. I support that move. This frees up the reservation process so that only the serious will maintain interest in reserving...possibly freeing up tables for people...

    Woodbine Centre

Hi! Not laughing at your posting, I am laughing at the mall itself and the way they seem to be doing business. A dumping ground for all the junk nobody wants! 😆

Regal Garden in the Korea town part of Toronto appears to have abruptly closed. Yelp is reporting them to be closed also: https://www.yelp.ca/biz/regal-garden-toronto (Calling their business number does not go to a "number not in service" recording. Instead, it goes to a fast paced busy...

No surprise. Too many too close together. I figure more will also close down soon.

So, Dave's Hot Chicken is going in where 7 11 used to be? This will be interesting.

Or how successful will it be? Annex Food Hall (near Bloor & Spadina) closed down a while ago. I'm honestly not sure how others are doing.

The Mandarin $27 price does not apply to holidays or special events. Mother's day is $37.99 all day. (same food...as far as I know...)

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Have you ever been there before? I happen to like Mandarin's steak. (to name one good thing) It's too bad they couldn't continue to offer crab legs or duck, but they do have better things than just those crappy, lack of meat chicken balls.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

$37.99 for Mother's day and no rose giveaway or special food promo either. I'm surprised they have to charge so much for nothing special. pop IS refillable @ the same price it has been for YEARS. $2.50. I can't defend the alcoholic drinks though...they do jack the bill up...select drinks at...

Yup good restaurant, but across the street Chi Chi's closed down. Someone opened up a buffet there, eating deep into the profits. The former Chi Chi's building is being torn down to make way for condos now, so I don't count that buffet restaurant as one of the ones gone due to lack of profit.

& it's true. Some people don't want to have to get up when they are in an environment where some of the food is brought to the table. This is why Boy on a Dolphin (Scarborough) closed. They had an amazing steak menu & AYCE salad bar, but then they had customers that complained about having to...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Not good enough. The area needs more. Tucker's used to have an amazing salad bar. As I've mentioned however, the best salad bar was at that restaurant that closed down-used to be just outside Bayview Village mall. BTW FYI-Mandarin is closing down soon. Condos/new office space are going in on...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Good. One of them can go all you can eat. That would be very nice. A smart idea might be to model after a restaurant that used to be just outside Bayview Village mall. I forget the name of the place, but it had a regular menu and a large AYCE salad bar to compliment it. One could choose to...

Sounds like it's just a temporary location if there is no seating. (Maybe they can move inside Eglinton subway station once all that construction is done...? They have a similar format over at St. Clair station) It would be nice if Burger King could come back. I also wish someone would open a...

    2023 Toronto Mayoral by-election

I do apologize for coming across as what's good enough for me is good enough for everybody, but that's not the intent. The intent is to separate the cards. If someone has an adult card in the first place it gets checked for tap or no tap. Most cheating fare adults will only have the yellow card...
