GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Lyft is doing the same in Florida with Brightline. There you are getting a $5 discount code if you are getting to or from the train station. For denser areas I don't think is its great to have car sharing running the service bringing people to the station. That creates too much traffic.

Ion Light Rail (Kitchener-Waterloo) & King/Victoria Transit Terminal

What is the actual frequency today? On Sunday, I witnessed 14 min. which was not that great. I spoke to several people on-board. Especially elderly people like the tram a lot as it offers at level boarding without obstacles. Also, someone told me that she would need to re-do her drivers...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

S-Bahn is often also run on diesel engines. The Regional Express (RE) is from my experience electric only. The RE skips stops with lower passenger volumes and connect hubs faster. Re and S-Bahn often share the same tracks and the rail line is usually fully grade separated otherwise the high...

There it is the fantastic solution: “The Doug Ford government will fast track a new downtown relief line with lighter automated trains that will divert an estimated 9,000 people from the overburdened Yonge Street line, the Toronto Sun has learned. A government source said the “Ontario” line — to...

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

This guy is owning some apartments on Bay St. Also, he Mr Puzzo is a Councillor. No one else is so stupid to come up with such an idea to scrap it. Of course, dedicated cycle tracks might inconvenience someone. That is the whole purpose to limit certain car owners and give cyclist an advantage...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

If all those towers along King getting built, how is there any room for cars? Impossible in my opinion. Also people I know living in that area are not owning cars any more - even with earning a solid six digit income!

    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

Kind of funny that Toronto is about to get two new LRT lines, but for Mississauga and Hamilton it is very much uncertain. Ford gives Toronto "all" and those two cities nothing?
