If the upgrades to the Stouffville Line indeed allow 30 min service, it would be great to launch that alongside the rumoured 30 min Bramalea service on the Kitchener Line.

Hopefully these cancellations will deal with the "dragging on" aspects of the project. Short term pain, long term gain.

If I was the developer, I’d offer to build the entire park with the condition that Toronto requests an MZO. Time is money, and this really looks like an OLT project otherwise.

Just a thought - construction for this project would be way easier and cheaper if work started before the GO electrification works did.

Technically I think it’s “Jane and Finch” stop. I believe Metrolinx is calling surface boarding and alighting areas stops, with stations reserved for underground. This could be outdated though.

The service reductions are for sure not “we don't want to run trains just because”. My guess is that it is absolutely construction related, potentially driven by costs. Yes you can get work done faster with fewer trains, but more importantly the loss of productivity of stopping work for trains...

I’ve seen it in Oakville a few times over the years. Usually happened late at night, and I wish I got pictures. Haven’t seen this movement in years however.

The odd time not that long ago, VIA used to wye the Canadian at Bayview Junction in Hamilton. I suspect that VIA might do this for next weekend, and depart Toronto along the Richmond Hill Line, the same way it enters the city.
