The Don Mills Residents Inc. newsletter says these are approved, but no details. I am not sure where I look for this info.

I do not think that is Eglinton in the foreground, probably Vanderhoof. It aligns better with the railway bridge than Eglinton does. Eglington is just off to the bottom left out of frame.

At first grocery stores left the malls (Fairview had a Dominion at one time in the area where Shoppers is now) and now they are coming back.

Incorrect to call it Sears, it was fully owned by The Bay at that point and the association with Sears Canada was long over.

The ramp onto Eglinton is staying, that will be where Wynford Dr will come out. It is being extended through the new development.

Discovered in 1980 and "fixed" in the 1995. Rather slow to have it taken care of. Now is there where I say "Bitch, Please, I grew up in Port Hope"? :) They are still cleaning out radioactive material and only now working on building the permanent storage location.

I know that is all infill and in this photo, and others of the time, makes it look like a wasteland.

Sadly it still does not look much different in regards to trees. There are trees now, rather than the 4 or 5 I count here, but it is still barren of them.
