I've read the comments that work is being done behind the scenes on it and about the gossip/speculation. I just have a hard time believing that *meaningful* work is being done at the moment to bring this to reality.

The Sheppard West extension is not a provincial plan at all for now. Only Sheppard East is. And I have a feeling that the Market Updates will not have any update on the Sheppard East extension for a couple of years, and it will be a campaign promise for the next election. I hope I'm wrong.

So I was driving along Eglinton earlier on the east end and I stumbled upon a crosstown vehicle. It got met with every single traffic light. It was beyond slow. It also went through each intersection quite slowly. This is quite sad. A perfect example of throwing away billions on an "LRT".

An LRT to Sherway would be a joke. There is already a Dundas BRT that is planned, and having an 'LRT' for roughly 3.5 km is absolutely nonsensical and force a linear transfer for a shuttle doesn't make any sense.

My one concern is that some other government might come forward after Doug Ford's Premiership and turn Sheppard into an LRT. That would be a disaster, considering that the Sheppard LRT in particular would lead to a linear transfer, WAY too many stops [eg. I think two stops between Pharmacy and...

There also doesn't seem to be any movement from John Tory or city council on this extension given the upcoming municipal election.

I'm about to retire soon. I really hope that I'll get to see a Sheppard East extension in my life time.

I hope the Ford government announces something about Sheppard soon, else I fear that it will never get built. I don't think they've even given a timeline and I doubt they are doing anything at all. All I've heard is 'Advanced Planning' in some PDF file but Doug Ford is definitely no Rob Ford.

Do you guys think that the LRT Plan is dead once and for all? Or is there a chance that it might be revived?

Looks like Royal Orchard Station has finally been added! Hopefully, they don't end up removing it down the line again. I hope that the proceeds from the TOC/TOD program will be enough or more than enough to keep the station.

Is it true that Eglinton Station is being shifted further north to better align with the Crosstown? I saw someone mention that on another forum.
