    Intercity Bus Services

The same reason why there’s so many buses between Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, with most of those stopping in Kingston. They’re usually cheaper and they run on different schedules. Red Arrow - which offers a superior ride than other coach operators - isn’t cheaper than VIA, but it made a lot...

    Toronto | 295 Jarvis Street | 199.4m | 60s | 462226 Ontario Limited | IBI Group

Nope nope nope. Too many clashing pieces, too much on such a small footprint. But at least it won’t stand out too much being squeezed in between the Prime and DSG dreck.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I read this three times and have no idea what you are arguing.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Route 30 from Bramalea is the fastest GO bus route to Kitchener-Waterloo, and a better connection from Toronto and York Region than Square One, especially with the new Bramalea Station configuration. Even weekend rail service to Mount Pleasant and regular Route 30 connections would be a big...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

That’d be Bramalea GO Station, where there’s an empty kiosk space! In all seriousness, Bramalea would be the place to do it, given the number of bus connections and the large parking structure.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Which would be funny because there is a Sheridan College campus already named for the wicked witch of the West, for which several GO stations are closer to, and about as bad as the Oshawa renaming.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

There’s a lot of projects this could be for: the LRT extension to Downtown Brampton (though unlikely), the announcement of weekend rail service on the Kitchener Line (somewhat more likely), funding towards for the Downtown Transit Hub (which is necessary for the third track through Downtown...

    Intercity Bus Services

That would have been Canada Coach Lines, actually, which operated out of Downtown Hamilton and was owned by the HSR, just as Gray Coach was owned by the TTC. Both were sold around 1990.

    Intercity Bus Services

No. It cut the local Highway 8 route through Beamsville and Grimsby to Hamilton a while back. All Megabus tips bypass Hamilton but do stop in Downtown Grimsby.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Sounds as if Metrolinx is preparing for a fourth serviceable track at Bramalea? The south platform is already connected to the south parking lot by way of a surface crossing over a disused industrial spur. Reactivating and upgrading that spur track for passenger service and extending it along...

Still one of the most interesting buildings going up in East Downtown.

The expanded Milliken Station has platforms extending over Steeles Avenue. I like the new trend.

Home Improvement (Lowe's, Rona, Home Depot)

Lowe’s buying Rona was a mistake. They had trouble keeping good buyers as they were forced to maintain a Quebec headquarters, and there was a big chasm between the Lowe’s people and the Rona people. It was one thing for Rona to buy up smaller Ontario chains like Lansing (which had the...

On the Planning & Development Meeting agenda for December 12, 2022 - part of a cluster of planned higher-density development on Queen Street West in Springbrook, near Mississauga Road. Mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in the main structure - a podium with an 18-storey and a 14-storey tower...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I’d argue that Mount Pleasant should eventually become an important connection point. There should be an express bus down Mississauga Road leading down to the Meadowvale employment area. This will also improve connections from NW Mississauga towards Waterloo Region. It’s already a busier...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

The terminal is just over 12 years old now, and I bet the roadways are taking a beating from all the bus traffic.
