Such a loss. Post war thinking. 'old is bad new is good' attitudes that were terrible my opinion. Many European cities (not all) that were mostly destroyed were re built as they were. Here the automobile boom and the suburban boom took hold and continues. However there are many of us whom prefer...

OHHH I can't wait! In. Thank you! My fantasy priorities are the large swaths of land in and around Eastern Ave, and Leslie Street especially the junk yards, car wash, Loblaws and Fresh co. lands, Plus the proposed 'Cadillac' lands at 721 Eastern and all those propertied. All very large pieces of...

Lovely, out of the norm, sculptural. Very photogenic. Like a pavilion form Expo 67 due to an 'up to date' 60's vibe.

    Toronto | Hyatt Place / The 203 Residences on Jarvis | 108.2m | 32s | Manga | IBI Group

Lower Jarvis from that angle is a little dreary looking I'd say! However it is changing slowly...very slowly.

Great design for a neglected and sketchy area. I do hope that the strip plaza goes soon too. This the ONLY area in the city (aside from Queen E. and Sherbourne) that I lock my car doors when I drive through and wouldn't walk in at night.

    Toronto | 929 Queen East | 31.9m | 9s | Core Development | Arch. Unfolded

Yes please. I like it! No balconies is surprising however it gives the structure cleaner lines. Ask NLight says above the nod to the existing smaller storefronts on Queen St E. is a pleasant surprise too!

    Toronto | Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

There are some pretty details here. However I'm afraid that over time like so many public spaces, lack of maintenance from the city or whomever due to money, irresponsible dog owners, substance abusers hanging about, lack of security for the general public, this will be become like many others...

I do not think the blank wall is acceptable mural or no mural. Period.

    Toronto | The Poet Condominiums | 24.08m | 6s | Fieldgate | TACT Architecture

The variety store was for sale recently for 4 Million or so. The building 2 doors to the west of the variety store has been vacant for years but had a for sale sign for a while. Post loft condos to the west of that building seems to have stalled. Hopefully a developer will bundle these...

That does look like could be a future sales pavilion?

Wow those images are very interesting to say the least. Certainly some of the spaces are worth saving.

I keep thinking this building is winking at me?

    Toronto | 641 Queen East | 29.1m | 9s | Streetcar | Giaimo

Love this! Filling in the gaps along Queen st. E. is important. I've often wondered what was here before and now it makes sense with identical east and west wings of the building. Thank you to Streetcar for their vision.

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | 27.94m | 8s | Core Development | Studio JCI

I totally agree that this building is not heritage worthy. Normally I'n all for saving what heritage structures we sit have. I thought that perhaps the original frontage with the bay widow may be considered. However this is a dilapidated former factory with very little interest IMHO. in addition...

Wonderful! Will the former fire station still be ghosted in glass as in the proposed images? I hope so.
