GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Does anyone have the pre-COVID schedule for the Lakeshore West line? We're moving to Oakville so one of us take the GO to Union while the other drives to Brantford. We're thinking Oakville or Bronte GO are our best options with the express trains, but GO pulled all the express schedules due to...

Anyone know when the West Moat will be open? It looks like it's finally built up all the way through to the York St entrances with some minor construction still taking place.

Nice shot. Was this from the 10 York complex?

Who is suggesting that no one spoke up? You spoke up among many others that wanted the bents saved. Even I originally preferred Park Vert which retained the bents, but the jury chose Love Park instead. Your points and my points were noted, but ultimately it was decided in a different direction...

In other news, the petition was a footnote in Global News today: https://globalnews.ca/news/4696913/petition-launched-york-pillars

I know this is in jest and good humoured, but I really feel that we need to stand up against this kind of thing. Our city and the public had a chance to input into the discussion and now one 'urban geographer' voices dissent which is published by CBC, no doubt sowing further discussion about a...

I started a counter petition to ensure these bents get removed. I need 5 signatures before the petition is available to the public. Please sign! https://www.change.org/p/waterfront-toronto-remove-the-york-street-pillars

I agree, they better not remove the pond. Did you see the public survey results? Water was one of the top 3 things the public wanted. I'm sure removal of the pavilion would come first.

I imagine we should be getting an update any week now. Selection of the parks were supposed to be announced sometime in the fall, especially since York St park is scheduled to start in 2019.

I can't say this with certainty, but I suspect that companies often employ young, pretty women to attract interest to a product or service. Just a hunch though. :) Re: red splash, agree with you. I hope they keep something there to keep it from blending in with the blue/grey of the city.

    Yes - I thought Tridel was going to remove 4, 13, and 14. I would've never guessed floors 5,6,7...

    Toronto | Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I wonder what the implications would be if they made the second lane on Harbour a mixed left turn lane/straight-thru lane onto York. Perhaps that would alleviate the backlog of cars turning left onto York St, and less pressure from drivers exiting the Simcoe ramp from having to change 2 lanes over.

Take a look at the Park Vert proposal, there are 3 total entrance ways and exits onto the elevated space. A shame that their photos don't clearly call this out. http://yorkreesparkdesign.ca/wp-content/uploads/Agency_YorkStreetPark_LowResScreenViewing.pdf Page 26

Big fan of either Park Vert from Agency or CCA's Love Park. Both would be wonderful options for York St.
