    2019 Canadian Federal Election

We just have to admit that some people in society think there's an actual baby in the womb. Soon all will realize that is it ok to kill an unborn baby right up until the moment before it comes out of the womb - and maybe a little after that as long as the chord hasn't been cut - for any reason...

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

Should he attend a March for Death event instead?

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Well, if the Canadian PM is stupid enough to declare that his country committed genocide, I think Canada should be investigated.

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

I'm not sure I understand. In summer, there are stations at Exhibition GO, and a different one at Ontario Place. Then in the winter, the $200M station is boarded up and not used until the following spring. I imagine making Ontario Place a year round destination makes more sense.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Did this parade have any men running down the middle of Yonge St. buck naked ? No. Ford is consistent.

Another smart move - showing support for police. [that is the York Region Police emblem, is it not?]

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Pretty smart move by Ford. He really shuts up his opposition by attending the York Region parade. For those who oppose these things, he remained relatively low key.

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

Polls suggest Liberals are at lowest point since last election. https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/elections/poll-tracker/canada/

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

How would Ford compare to Trudeau? I imagine that few people like both, and more like neither. But maybe they are comparable. In the last election, both were the least qualified and least intelligent of the 4 leaders. They are both more populist than noted for hard work or sound policies...

TCDSB to charge teachers for parking at school lots!

Parking fee should be same for everyone - no difference for teachers or staff. Parking fee should be related to the parking costs at neighbouring lots. Thus, maybe less as you get farther from downtown (maybe varying from $200/month to $50).

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

By 2027, our National Debt will be down below $400B. I think we can afford it then by reducing the sizes of surpluses. Too bad Canadians voted in 2015 to forgo a better future.

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

The biggest lie Harper told in his 10 years was that Trudeau is not ready now - but may be in the future. It is obvious that Trudeau is an absolute imbecile who has none of the skills required to lead the country. He embarrasses us almost on a daily basis. October can't come soon enough...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

The "paper-like drink-box-water-bottle sort-of thing" industry will flourish.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

I found something that looks like facts. Watchdog to investigate conflicting Ontario autism budget numbers It sounds to me that the Liberals did commit $320M, but over-promised and more money was needed in mid-year. We shall see what finally becomes of this. Autism controversy, confusion...

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

I attended an autism fundraiser and it was amazing that parents were complaining about the Ford "cuts". During the speeches, the various doctors gave thanks to the unprecedented funding given by the government. I am not sure if the people will actually think before they form an opinion. It is...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

in an analogy, a smart phone = bus, a tablet = LRT, a laptop (or desktop) = subway. If I want quick and convenient service, I use the phone, much as a bus is able to get close to peoples origins and destinations. If you have a lot of work to do, the laptop/desktop provides maximum...

2019 Ontario Liberal Leadership Race / Rebuild

That's no different than we have now. 2nd last round is 52% for one candidate and 48% for the other. the candidate with 48% is removed from the list and the 2nd last round winner wins the final round with 100%. or am I not understanding something.

TTC: Scarborough Subway Extension (formerly LRT replacement) (City of Toronto, Design Phase)

In plan, the line start a slight horizontal curve about 185m south of Lawrence. Since the station will be entirely north of this point - no change is required for this. In terms of vertical, again the station box would be north of the river, so it should be ok, unless there is some very porous...

2019 Ontario Liberal Leadership Race / Rebuild

I suspect your comment is misplaced. I think in some leadership reviews - the leader must receive a number well over 50% to avoid a leadership convention. But I am not aware of a single leadership contest where 50% (+1) is not enough to win. If you need 75% to win, what would that mean...

2019 Ontario Liberal Leadership Race / Rebuild

I heard the Liberal delegates voted for 1-member, 1-vote, but it needed 2/3 support to be implemented and only got just over 50%. I didn't catch the exact details of the proposal - but my understanding is it's just the total number of votes that counts. The Liberals use the delegate method...
