    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022?)

I think you are on to something. I am in Scarborough Southwest and it has been either Liberal or NDP for 25 years. This year I get the sense it may go from NDP to PC which would be one hell of a change for the riding. This riding both federally and provincially has been a PC graveyard over the...

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022?)

I 100% agree. Doug Ford will likely get in again and I suspect it will be a majority. Horwath and Del Duca are not that appealing even to me a staunch leftist. I am considering voting for the Greens rather than voting NDP this year. This was the lefts year but they are not bringing their...

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022?)

My eyes are shot to hell but I believe so.

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022?)

In Scarborough Southwest it is a 3 way race. Doly seemed to be the front runner at the start but now the PCs and Liberals are catching up. I would not be surprised if the riding went PC for the first time since Mike Harris. That being said, sign counts do not mean anything. All it means, is...

    Doors Open Toronto

Having been to Lower Bay several times it is not really worth it. It is mostly a carbon copy of the current Bay station only with higher ceilings. Honestly, I would not make it that one must-see site for Doors Open as there is nothing really special about it.

    Toronto | Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Makes sense now. I presume they will route people through the Bay Concourse though knowing Metrolinx, I can see people being directed to York St and around to the front of the station.

By Telus ramp I presume you mean the exit to Maple Leaf Square?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Thank you for the clarification. Honestly, I think this a stupid idea but then again I wonder how many people actually used the NOTL shuttle to begin with. I was just looking at the WEGO map and it sees like they rejigged alot of the service this year.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

You fail to mention that it is $30.00 return from Toronto with WEGO for 48 hours. The WEGO shuttle to NOTL is not $30.00 on its own. All things considered it is not a bad deal.

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

Community councils are made up of the local councilors for the area. They handle local issues that then get referred to City Council if needed. Busy work like minor building permits (household renovations, etc) and local issues like tree removal/replacement should be delegated. City Council...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This was the case originally. You had to pay the full distance based fare when the service originated. I believe it was close to 40 dollars return (17 each way) per adult. Then they decided to promote the service and tourism to the falls. Doing this resulted in a discounted fare arrangement...

    Bloor-Yorkville Scene

Dominion used to have these in the 1990s. I recall the Eglinton Square Dominion having a bottle refund machine in the back by their bakery. I can see them not having it due to the undesirable clientele it attracts. For example, there is a woman who is at Warden Station every evening...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Surprise surprise. Niagara service is a joke, they are using the low demand excuse to run less service and increas profits. Eventually people will get turned off the service due to delays and the sheer amount of people.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This is exactly like when I went there during the Simcoe Day long weekend. The train was uncomfortably full and the sheer number of people coming and going caused delays getting to and from Niagara Falls. I wish they would get rid of the Plexiglas barriers though. They are very uncomfortable...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

That's sort of my Dilemma when I go to Niagara and why I'm thinking of booking a hotel room there this year. The train timings are horrible and Niagara is somewhere you can either spend 4 hours or 48 hours. If you actually want to see more than just the hornblower you will neer to stay...

But but... service is adequate. No need for super express trains or more service right?

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022?)

I think Del Duca is safe but if Andrea ends up losing be it a bad second place or third, I can see her being turfed

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

This is why I say that amalgamation was a bad idea. Things were better when it was Metro and everything was it's own city.

    2022 Russian-Ukrainian War

Losing Crimea would mean the end of Putin. Given it's significance in Russia, losing Crimea would be unforgiveable.
