I would assume that they purchased and paid for the steel in advance of construction at an agreed upon amount. I don't know anything about this sort of stuff, but I would imagine that's how it happens.
We have a design review panel for what then? So they can approve something and then have the developer completely change the look of it, and then still be allowed to build it? This is unacceptable.
Were they not put up after the van attack on Yonge Street? I feel like that's when they decided to put these things up all over the place instead of building proper barriers.
Has anyone heard any news on the retail for this? The supposed grocery store still hasn't happened. The windows are still papered over the way they've been since this building finished.
