    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

I disagree. I want to see multiple services on the same line to encourage competition. Further on I’d like to see Go follow the transport for transport for NSW model and offer better quality seats in coaches for the long distance (2+ Hours) routes.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Same here. It’s really frustrating and I feel bad for the passengers cramped onto buses to Waterloo. I’ve emailed Metrolinx about weekend service and I keep getting the runaround. I’m not asking for all day 2 way but some morning and evening weekend service. From guelph it’s either a 1.5 train...

Lighter less powerful locomotives for the 6 car train sets to cross the bridge at St Marys?

Not the best pics but the retaining wall rehab to support the 2nd track is coming along on the Guelph sub.

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

So Kitchener Line GO weekend service.

Given the good ridership on the London pilot. Metrolinx should go ahead and buy the sub all the way to London.

    Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Give it a year or two after the viaduct opens and the space below will become a very popular public space with or without Metrolinx spending money on public art. It’s prime to become a market space just like Borough Market in London.

Guelph Central facing weather. Looks like they’re pile driving / drilling between Wilson and Wyndham street bridges.

    VIA Rail

Are there two locos at the far end of the train?

    Intercity Bus Services

I'd like to see the O Train line extended south along the old ROW for a true regional rail experience.

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

Yes please. And with this I hope ONR can run a baggage car during the summer for adventure travellers to bring canoes or kayaks with them. Gomerly would be a good station for loading. There’s no way I’d bring a canoe to Union Station.

Love the navy blue colour scheme Ontario Northland has going on. Great visual identity and with stand out from the GO and VIA at Union station. I look forward to more train services using VIA that offers a rich palette of colour schemes.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I heard they had to strap Del Duca to his office chair to prevent him from attending any minor changes at a GO station.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

No official announcement yet but the area for the 2nd platform at Guelph Central is completely cleaned. Surely they must announce something soon.

Does VIA own London station? Ownership should be transferred to the Cityy of London and follow guelph, Kitchener and Toronto’s lead and turn the station into a hub for intercity buses and larger Multiple platforms.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Especially with frequent service All dayish that is somewhat decent right now. Breslau will be popular with people going to guelph or Kitchener for work.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I've seen the plans and pretty much all the background stuff is done. Just a mattered of announcing funding and putting shovels in the ground. It's great that Kitchener and Guelph are true urban stations but having a station in the suburbs with decent parking is solely needed.

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

Nah demolished it and extended the new glass roof. There’s conservation and there’s an eyesore that gives me claustrophobia each time I’m there. A similar carbon copy of the train shed exists in Winnipeg. So there’s that.

Del Duca would totally attend a ribbon cutting for a the installation of the raised warning tiles at every single station if he was Transport Minister.

    Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

When did the tunnel officially close? Judging by the 2009 streetview I'd say early 2000's.
