Surface parking in front of the building is brutal and shouldn’t happen.
Especially considering they have access of Cluny St.

This city really just thinks these areas will never be pedestrian friendly at any point in the future eh. Like it's a nightmare now, but no point in trying to make it better.

Doesn't seem that atrocious to me for 5 spots with an attempt to conceal it somewhat - makes sense to have spots near the entrance from a daycare perspective. The Cluny lot isnt part of the development it says, not clear what the plan is for that beyond a future consent application.

I would prefer not to see additional driveways along typically pedestrian focused frontages like this. Imagine James St having a building demolished to make way for a new-build with a parking lot and a driveway.

This area is no different. While it's not the most desirable location at the moment, the eventual changes to the area will make it far more pedestrian friendly. This is counter to that goal.

Totally agree, there should be every effort made to reduce driveways onto/off of main thoroughfares. Thats what alleyways and side streets are for.
